About Kino Sento Ekkamai

Kino Sento Ekkamai is for nights when Bangkok gay nightlife refuses to end. Open 24 hours a day, this men''s onsen and gay cruising venue on Ekkamai Road mixes Japanese bathhouse styling with something closer to a compact overnight social club: warm bathing, dry sauna, steam room, refreshments, private rooms and upper-level cruising areas including a rooftop bamboo-style maze. There are also sleeping/bunk areas, which helps explain why Kino can stay useful long after most bars have turned the lights on. The Ekkamai branch tends to feel a little more relaxed and mature than some of Bangkok''s newer youth-focused onsens, while still drawing a mix of Thai regulars and international visitors. It is a particularly handy gay sauna in Bangkok for jet-lagged travellers, night owls or anyone wanting somewhere queer-friendly at an hour when almost everything else is shut. Standard entry has recently sat around ฿450, with younger/student promotions sometimes advertised. Come after 20:00 for a more social crowd, or embrace the 24-hour format and see what Bangkok looks like when there is genuinely no closing time.

What to expect

Expect a practical 24-hour men's onsen that combines bathing and sauna facilities with food, private rooms and cruising spaces. The Ekkamai crowd is often described as a little more mature and laid-back than the newer onsen scene.

It's clean, and absolutely worth the money. I went at around 12.30am, and it was quite empty. I could enjoy the steam, sauna and pool all by myself.

Place is soooo old and run down. Very badly maintained. I went at 5pm and left at 6, very empty. Was told I could get free tonkatsu but there was no staff at the dining area. Ended up leaving without doing or eating anything. Waste of time and money

Friday night. 11 pm. Dead. Place is not in good repair. Looks worn down and old. The few people that were there on a Friday night, were indicative of it not normally being good. I won’t return.

An absolute hidden gem in the city! This place has everything you could ever want for a perfect day (or even longer). There’s a relaxing sauna, an entertainment room where you can watch Netflix with someone or a group, and standard bunk beds where you can stay all day without feeling rushed. It is a typical bunk bed hotel with some amenities for relaxation you can stay here and it is safe. They’ve got comfortable chair massages, unlimited drinks and snacks, and you can even order food from outside—so you’re never short on options. The best part? It’s surprisingly affordable, especially if you stay longer. A clean, hidden, and wonderfully social spot that feels like a special discovery.
