About La Mae
La Mae offers a compact, explicitly queer alternative to the larger Chueca circuit from its base in Lavapiés. The venue centres on drinks, conversation and community, with a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere and a calmer pace than many of Madrid’s late clubs. Current trading runs Tuesday to Sunday, with Friday and Saturday extending to around 02:30 and Monday closed. Space is limited at busy times, so earlier visits work better for a relaxed drink.
