Le Belgica, nestled in the heart of Brussels near the Grand-Place, has been a vibrant part of the city's gay scene since the mid-1980s. This compact, lively bar attracts a diverse, international crowd, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Under the same ownership for over two decades, Le Belgica has maintained its welcoming atmosphere and unique charm. The bar is renowned for its signature house drink, the Belgica—a semi-frozen concoction made from a secret recipe. Inside, the celebrated distressed interior features elements from the original 1920s bar, including weathered wooden details and a bronze bust of Leopold II. Live DJs provide excellent music, making it an ideal hangout for post-dinner drinks or pre-clubbing gatherings. While the interior offers a cozy space, many patrons enjoy socializing outside, especially during warmer months.

For sure the best spot in Brussels to go for drinks for queer people! Amazing staff , great music, good vibes, and nice mixed crowd! It shows clearly the diverse character that Brussels has to offer!

We spend a night with friends and having drinks. It was crowded and many people were outside with desks and their drinks. So I used/opened also our desk outside that we could use it for our drinks. Than the door keeper/girl came immediately and was very angry shouting at me that‘s forbidden to use the desk. I said sorry that I didnt know (how could I know?!). She overreacted and said also that our group is not allowed any more to go inside even we asked for the restrooms. She was so aggresive and pushed a friend out with her hands that we are not allowed to use the restroom - only because we wanted to use the desk. Never had such a experience before!!

AMAZING BAR. Awesome people, FANTASTIC service!! We have never felt so taken care of outside of Latin America. Both Antony and Charlotte were really thoughtful and kind ❤️ Thank you so so so much! We will definitely be back!
