Bains de l'Est in Geneva offers a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community, just a short distance from the city center. Located at Rue de l'Est, this popular spot spans 500 square meters, featuring a range of facilities like a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and even a gym for those who want to work out before relaxing. There's a dedicated dark room and private cabins for more discreet moments, as well as a bar area where guests can socialize and unwind.
The sauna’s vibe is relaxed and inclusive, with mixed days as well as gay-focused events, so checking the schedule before visiting is recommended. Among the highlights are their weekly foam parties, held on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., drawing in a lively crowd. For those who like a late-night atmosphere, Bains de l'Est stays open until 4 a.m. on weekends, making it a popular destination for post-bar relaxation.
The venue also offers massage services, providing a bit of extra pampering during your visit. With its spacious layout and variety of amenities, Bains de l'Est caters to both local patrons and visitors looking for a welcoming environment in Geneva’s sauna scene.
Last time I was there, the lights in the steam room were completely off, so it was pitch black inside. Is that intentionally like this now or was it just a temporary outage?
What a sad place. The “foam party” had 8 people, all seniors. The place is fairly large and very empty. The beautiful large hot tub is kept lukewarm. And they have the nerve to charge 39 francs! On top of this they allow women most nights, and even on the gay nights play trans porn. I felt so ripped off.
Used to be a gay venue but more and more it caters to straight people with only Sunday-Monday as real gay night. Pink Beach in Lausanne is a much better option, 10 times bigger and same price
IF you are gay, here it is dft not a place for you. This city is extremely expensive. The prices sometimes are more than double of London with the same quality. The " gay sauna " is closed for straight couples in the parade. So if you are gay and you are reading this, I strongly recommend Amsterdam, Lisbon, London, London, Brighton, but not here.
was the best experience I had in a Geneve sauna! Stuff is very nice and the cute guys. The dear owner john certainly gave me reasons to return with friends other times
The place is clean, it looks new and refurbished and staff is very friendly. But the crowd is utter LAME. Have you ever been to a tier 3 city in an ex-USSR state somewhere between Uzbekistan and Armenia? Well that’s the crowd. I don’t know how to describe it more accurately but it’s so lame and rural and provincial. The place has everything going for it, but as much as it tries hard, the Geneva crowd had got to be one of the lamest on the face of the earth. So, save your money coz its expensive, and try Grindr.
Nice venue and service. Very clean and modern. Foam room was a plus that you don’t see much in other saunas. I would go back. Was busy with all kinds of guys. One less star for the price that is among the highest I’ve seen for such places. I recommend it nonetheless.
Decent place. It’s not a gay sauna, but a gay “friendly” sauna. It’s for men and women. There was only older men and older women I saw. Slightly on the pricy side, but clean and well maintained. Came here on a Friday evening. It wasn’t busy at all. The guy at the reception was really nice and accommodating. Entry was 50 swis francs.
…..it was my first time there at Monday evening, 19 September 2022….. Staff was friendly - Clean - Dry and Wet sauna was Perfect to relax - above all, I love to walking around because the floor is anti slippery……. Well done Bains de l’Est…..Will visit this sauna again……Novy from Belgium.
