About L'Omega Club

L’Omega Club brings a more event-led edge to Nice’s LGBTQ nightlife. Tucked into Passage Émile Négrin, the club focuses on dancing, guest DJs and queer programming rather than operating as a conventional neighbourhood bar.\n\nDrag performances and themed club nights appear alongside electronic and DJ-led events, so the character of the evening can depend heavily on what is scheduled. If you are choosing between Nice’s different late-night options, this is one to check by programme rather than simply by opening hours.

What to expect

Expect a dance-focused late-night venue with changing programming. Depending on the night, that may mean guest DJs, drag or a themed queer club event, so it is worth checking what is on before you go.

Went to the club with my queer friends (im also visibly queer) and after seeing the bouncer (lumberjack looking man) that we literally met and asked for info the night before, he turned us away for no reason. It’s incredible that as queer people we can be turned away from straight and queer places for no discernible reason.

I’ve been to L’Omega many times, almost every weekend & used to have to good times there but every time I went to the restroom is another story because of the lady in the restroom (dame pipi), I always smiled at her while lining up waiting for my turn to use the restroom but she always showed unfriendly face when it came to me. Particularly after Pride Nice, I was lining up patiently & when it was my turn, she stopped me & asked the people “behind” me if they would like to use the restroom before me, I was shocked for a few seconds but I was glad they replied I was before them so the dame pipi would let me use, after using the restroom I forgot my hand fan inside & waited for the other to leave & I would come in get it, I humbly begged her to let me get inside & get it for just 1 second but she yelled at my face in English “who do you think you are, go back there”, I couldn’t believe she would treat me like that, people were looking at me like I did something wrong but I didn’t say anything wrong, I was very polite to her, what if I forgot my phone, wouldn’t she let me get it back or ask me to line up until my turn just to get my stuff back? Then it would be too late cuz someone else might take it. I was a customer & it’s a club, people might forget something after 1 or 2 drinks, it’s normal but if they have a chance to get their stuff back in just a few seconds, please let them. I was shocked after leaving the club & wondering it had something to do with my race because I’m Asian & I noticed she was very friendly with the others but not to me as I was always the only Asian in line. I don’t think I would go back to L’Omega when I think of the time I need to use the restroom & see her again. I would still recommend this place to the others but Asians, weekends you have to wait in a long line & the bouncer would let the others who come after lining people cut the line & let them in first, it happens all the time, maybe those are people he knows or they are VIPs of Kris & Ben but it sounds ridiculous when a lot of people are lining up are not the locals & they have to wait longer than the ones have just arrived & get in after a second, it’s not fair for them. Hence the weekend entry fees have increased from 13€ to 15€ compared to Le Glam still the same, I’ve to both clubs every weekend so I always pay attention to the price written on the ticket every single time.

Great DJ-ed music. Drinks served reasonably efficiently by the bar men given how busy the club got.

They try to call themselves LGBTQ-friendly, but they are very racist. If you are white, you may get in easily with a good experience. As for me, I’m not sure, since they are not letting me in, even though I have all the legal documents. I do not recommend this bar unless you want to experience the vibe of white gay privilege.
