Gay Bar Magical Banana

Just walked 30 minutes to see this bar. From Scotland , UK 🇬🇧 We are massive lgbt 🏳️‍🌈 social media influencers and were told quickly Japanese only. Sorry, Awkward. Please respond before I go on Instagram and other large platforms and highlight this? Hopefully an mis understanding we can resolve and come back for a social drink since I just arrived in Japan .

It was a happy time to enjoy talking with the perfect strangers who opened their hearts to the LGBTQ+ community. Rate 2,000 yen for 1 seat and pay more for any drink. Staff is so nice and entertaining.

Walked in on a Friday night (one patron already there) and was rather coldly offered a seat. Told it was 2300¥ for a seat (snack but no drink) and 3800¥ for a seat (unlimited alcohol for 2 hours). Drink prices were not offered. Smoky and very small and the price seemed off for such a dingy venue with only one customer. Do not understand the 5 star reviews. Ended up walking out of the place and welcomed warmly to OVERALL bar around the corner.

Went there around 2am - entered the bar with literally two guests. The bartender looked so shocked when I entered as if he has seen a ghost and stood there quietly with that shocked face- and I said, for two please... and he was like - uhhhhh reservation? - im like for what? It's 2am, there's no one there- it's Thursday. Im pretty sure no one is coming.so I said "no reservation" And he said - sorry sorry, no reservation... i just left because that vibe is weird, why is it even rated 4.9?

Check the lowest reviews and you’ll see what kinda trap this business is. And the 5-star reviews are mostly fishy. Give them 1 more star for letting me off the hook 🪝, and explained me the ridiculous policy in advance.
