About Margate Arts Club

Margate Arts Club is a queer-run, femme-focused and intersectional community venue known for great sound, adventurous music and a friendly psychedelic-house-party atmosphere. Weekend dance nights move across disco, afrobeat, Latin, jazz, experimental electronics and plenty in between. It is more than a club: the programme also covers life drawing, socials, workshops, performances and community projects. A clear consent-led code of conduct shapes the space, and the garden opens during the warmer months.

Check the calendar: workshops and socials can run outside the regular Friday and Saturday club hours.

The seasonal garden is normally open from April to November.

Went to see DJ legend Greg Wilson, what a night. Margate Arts club is a unique, kooky little club. Will be actively looking to see who’s performing because I want to visit again

Just attended Cliftonville Vaudeville - Kinky Queer Cabaret at the Club. Lovely group of people, with a strong local community presence. Amazing acts (as last time) and always new visitors at events. The acts and stage are on the ground floor, but there is a basement as well ... Another event attended (The Big Gay Prom), full of conversations and dancing and fun... Drop in for some sub/counter culture.

Awesome queer night club that cares about your experience. A variety of events and good drinks selection. I love it so much that I now sometimes help out behind the bar, just to be in the space more!
