About Old Meadfoot

Old Meadfoot is Torquay’s longest-running dedicated LGBTQ+ bar and the town’s clearest queer meeting place. The atmosphere is informal and community-minded, with friendly hosts, drinks, music and recurring entertainment such as Monday bingo. This is more neighbourhood bar than big-city club, which is exactly the appeal: it works for a relaxed catch-up as well as the start of a night out. Thank you to the staff and customers for a lovely Devon welcome. I was on a short visit to Torquay and wandering home around ten o'clock and decided on a nightcap (or two; deserved after wandering hills & steps of Torquay) It's a traditional pub layout. There were chats with friendly people and cracking music that were the hits of my teens and even though I'm not a karaoke fan, I loved the fun and glamour. There was some great talent and great effort by the rest!! I really enjoyed dropping by on Saturday night.

This bar was recommended by our B&B ashleigh house and yes we are a straight couple with our little dog tilly. We were made to feel very welcome our dog loved her fusses and treats will definitely be back if we are back in torquay. Amazing atmosphere cheers Vince and kerry
