ONE Archives Foundation (now known as ONE Institute) is the independent community partner supporting ONE Archives at the USC Libraries. Founded in 1952, the organization champions the collection, preservation, and celebration of LGBTQ+ histories through archives, exhibitions, education programs, and public initiatives. ONE Archives is recognized as one of the largest repositories of LGBTQ+ materials in the world, with more than two million items across periodicals, books, film and video, photographs, artworks, organizational records, and personal papers. The Foundation/Institute works closely with USC Libraries and community partners to make this history accessible and engaging, hosting talks, tours, and projects that bring queer heritage and cultural production to new audiences.
