About Quetzal Bar

Quetzal Bar in Paris is the go-to spot in Le Marais if you're looking to dive into the local gay scene. Think of it as that chill friend's place where everyone ends up on the weekend – only cooler and with a way better drinks menu. The vibe? It's laid-back but somehow always buzzing, especially when the weekend hits. The crowd? An awesome mix of friendly faces from all walks of life, ready to mingle or just kick back and enjoy the scene. This spot's got history, too, making it feel like you're part of Paris' vibrant gay tapestry just by walking in. And with its recent facelift, Quetzal's only gotten better at drawing a crowd that's as diverse as it is dynamic. Whether you're here for the tropical cocktails or the classic Grimbergen, you're in for a good time. Plus, they've got this cool, dark upstairs space if you're looking for a quieter spot to chat or something more. Weekends come with DJs and occasional special performances, turning the place into a mini dance party that's hard to resist.

It was a fun experience for me and my friends. Mainly people stand outside so inside there was a lot of space, but we also went outside where people are charting. We had pints of beer, not much music outside. Crowds divided into small personal groups.

I returned to this bar last week after having been away for 30 years. When I lived in Paris it was a place I could go with friends before the clubs. But I remember that going there alone was never as nice because it wasn’t easy to get involved with any of the tight little groups of friends that seem to be glued together & oblivious to other people. Now that I’m a retired senior & was traveling alone, the situation has remarkably not changed at all, and I was disappointed to not be able to at least have a friendly conversation with someone. If you’re older and alone, do yourself a favor and skip this place. The music was cheap disco pop that was often cringeworthy. The bartenders are hot and very friendly. When I gave a 2€ tip he seemed shocked & expressed humble thanks. Making a nostalgic return here left me rather melancholic and wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

A gay bar that is often crowded with friendly bartenders. You can sit inside, but many people prefer to sit outside. They often come in groups, but it's easy to fit in as everyone is friendly. A good place to meet new people.Go there from 8pm to Midnight.

Good bar, wide selection of drinks and great deals at happy hour. The clientele is a little mature though and going alone is definitely not recommended
