I visited Róisín Dubh for their silent disco night. It was a fun experience to try for the first time and the atmosphere was lively. A couple of small things stood out. The Guinness was served in a non-branded glass, and after 10:30pm drinks are served in plastic cups. The crowd was quite young, which may appeal more to people in their early 20s. The silent disco had two music channels, mainly pop on one and UK grime on the other. It would have been nice to have a bit more variety. Also, the headphone volume cannot be adjusted, which made it feel quite loud after a while. Overall, a decent night out and a fun concept, but probably better suited to a younger crowd.

What a place!! Great for gigs. Staff is always so sound. Go here every Sunday from 11pm-2am and go watch John Conneely and the band. It's such an unforgettable experience. Unreal.

Staff friendly and helpful. Drinks were reasonable priced. I went to a comedy gig there. The room was over crowded. Definitely fire hazard and extremely warm with plastic stools to sit on .

Fantastic intimate venue. Came here for Bears Den at the end of September. Emailed ahead of time as I need assistance with accessibility (I walk with the help of a walking stick and cannot stand for long periods). A standing gig, but they had high stools available and we were able to sit by a table right in front of the stage. Fantastic experience.

I would like to express my frustration with the way I was treated by the security staff at this venue. On the night of March 21st, I went to meet some friends who were at this pub celebrating a friend’s birthday. However, when I arrived, I was denied entry WITHOUT ANY REASON! That was exactly the phrase the security guard used: “No reason.” As I tried to enter, one of the security guards stopped me and said, “You can’t come in,” and then walked away. A second security guard approached me and asked for my ID. I showed him my visa, as it is one of the legal documents I have here in Ireland (I am not Irish). This second guard was actually more friendly—he even joked that I didn’t look the age shown on my document, almost like a compliment, saying I looked well preserved. I thanked him and laughed. Even so, he told me to wait for his supervisor to return. A few seconds later, the first guard came back and asked for my ID as well. I showed him the same document, and he repeated that I would not be allowed in. I asked why, and he said there was no reason. He told me I could go to Taylor’s pub next door, but I wouldn’t be allowed in there. I questioned him again, and he responded rudely: “No reason.” I thought it was an alternative pub that welcomed all kinds of people, but apparently, it is quite a selective place
