Le Saloon Bistro Bar

This place was great for a chill outdoor dinner and drink with my husband while we were stranded in Montréal for a few days thanks to several cancelled flights... That being said - food was great! I had the Saloon Burger and my husband had the Mac and Cheese. He doesn't usually finish his plate but he ate the whole thing so 10/10 from him. Drinks were named really well and tasted great! Would come back if I am ever stranded in Montréal again 😪

Steak wasn’t properly grilled but it isn’t a steakhouse so that wasn’t so much a surprise. The Sangria was delicious and the service was delightful. The mood and atmosphere was inviting and the ambience made the got weather tolerable. Perfect place to start your evening.

Music was way too loud, couldn't even hear crossed the table. After waiting 35 minutes, they informed us that the kitchen lost our order so it took another 30 minutes after that to get our food. Didn't offer any sort of compensation. It felt like a night club in there, but it was priced like fine dining. (30$ for a salad!!) It was not a good dining experience at all. Portions were quite small too.

A local merchant recommended this place to David, our friends and myself and we are so glad we checked it out. The food, cocktails, atmosphere and service were exceptional. Simon our waiter was charming and only added to our dinning experience. It’s establishments like this that make Montreal’s Gay Village a destination worth visiting still.
