About Sapphires Middlesbrough

The entertainment gives the room an easy focal point, which can make it a comfortable option for solo visitors as well as groups. The venue is a short walk from the bus station and stays open into the early morning on its busier nights. Its official website remains active, but the clearest published hours come from third-party listings, so confirm the night before making a special journey.

Great atmosphere and music. Shame about the lazy topless male bar staff. When I went to order my first set of drinks, the 2 topless bar staff were chatting together a couple of feet away. One of them looked at me with eye contact to serve me and when I started to order he turned away for a couple of seconds to finish the conversation with his colleague. So unbelievably rude and disrespectful. After an hour here, the bar staff continued to just hob nob and chat at the bar whilst dirty tables full of empties were just left for new customers to contend with. After paying £3 each to enter and paying top end bar prices, I expect more. The staff are paid to do a job and aren't doing so and are not being properly managed to ensure they are. After an hour, I asked one of the bar staff to come and wipe my table and he politely and willingly did so. He then half cleared the table next to us full of empties before disappearing never to return. The other tables were left uncleared. The table pictured was left like that for most of the night. Not proactive, considerate or hygienic. It's a great shame as I love this place. Get it sorted and respect your customers!

We were staying in Stockton-on-Tees and wanted to dance. We were told about this club, so we headed over, not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised, and had an absolute blast! The music was great, the vibe and atmosphere was awesome. Some of the young bar staff were rather aloof and unfriendly, and they irritatingly kept taking our unfinished drinks away too early. Apart from the bar staff (mostly the young guys) being a disappointment, the DJ, music and crowd absolutely made up for it. We'd come again if in the area again, but hopefully by then, be greeted and served by friendlier or better trained staff.

Speaking from the point of view of someone who is going out on their own, the bar staff are all really lovely and accommodating. The staff would regularly check in with me and make sure I was safe and having a good time. Roxanne and Jordan in particular have been super welcoming and kind.

Have had some amazing nights in here. All the staff are absolutely lovely. Damo the main man himself is amazing and makes the nights unreal in there. Everyone get yourself down here one night.

Only positive i can say about this place was the good music. We came last night to celebrate after coming many times in the past but this time felt different. The DJ wouldn't stop talking over every song which killed the vibe the entire night and I’m not talking about one sentence in each song, it was continuous and nonstop talking over every song. This was annoying. There was a creepy man who would not leave me and my friend alone even after i asked him too, we did not feel safe and then to top it off we were charged £27 for 6 shots which is extortionate and money grabbing. The second time we refused to pay that much and asked for just 3 shots instead to which the manager got very hissy about and an older woman came over to our table afterwards to tell me off for sending 3 shots back. Ridiculous and i doubt we will be coming back which is a shame because this was one of my favourite clubs in Middlesbrough, sadly it’s changed. ☹️
