About Stranger Bar

The Stranger Bar – House of Drag Queens is a Bangkok nightlife icon on Silom Soi 4, bringing pub theatre energy to the city’s most famous queer street. With doors open 7pm–2am every day, it’s the kind of place where the night builds steadily into a full-stage spectacle. One of Thailand’s most-loved drag venues, Stranger Bar combines showmanship, comedy, lip-sync, dance, and audience interaction - always delivered with camp wit and Thai sparkle. Recent social posts regularly feature themed nights and showtime announcements for that week, so you can time your arrival for maximum atmosphere. The vibe is upbeat, inclusive, and effortlessly social: grab a drink, chat with the regulars, then let the performers drag you into paradise. Stranger Bar is also incredibly easy to reach: it’s located at 98, Silom 4 Alley and you can get there via BTS Sala Daeng (Exit 1) or MRT Silom (Exit 2), then walk to Silom Soi 4.

I don’t remember having this much fun at any other place during my trip to Thailand. I had such an amazing time that I even spent New Year’s Eve at this venue. There are different shows every night, including drag shows, and all of the performers are incredibly entertaining. The cocktails and drinks are both delicious and reasonably priced. Located right in the heart of the Silom area, it’s a colorful, lively place that I truly believe everyone should visit during their trip to Bangkok.

These queens absolutely love their job and treat every guest like a VIP. The Drag Race Thailand’s star power here is unparalleled. I don’t know if any bar in the world has more Drag Race alumni than this one. An absolute must stop if you’re coming to Bangkok!

Best drag performances you’ll see in Bangkok, and probably in your life. The queens give everything, every show feels like a "lipsync for your life" moment. Incredible energy, talent, and charisma. Absolute must-visit.

Had the best time at The Stranger bar. I went on Thursday, which was all star night, meaning some of the queen's who had competed on drag race Thailand performed. Show started at around 9.45 and there were 3 sets, last performance ended just before 1.30am (I think). I got there around 9am and could grab a table near the front. But there are tables if you get there a later and space to stand. Each performance was different and all very entertaining and fun. Lots and lots of laughter and singing.the host for the night was hilarious and everything is in English. Between sets there is music and you can dance or chat outside. I went alone and quickly got chatting to loads of people, so didn't feel left out I don't drink, so can't comment on drink quality, but you get two included with the entrance fee (460thb) so really good value. As with any drag show, you tip the performers you like; bring notes or thay can change at the bar. Don't forget to tip the bar staff too! I highly recommend it!
