The LaLiT Ashok Bengaluru

The hotel has a history in itself. Very old, but the building has been maintained and renovated to keep up the quality. The staff was friendly. We did not try any food as we preferred going out for food. Only con that I would say it out is that the room could have been more upto date. The balcony door was bit dirty and loose. The room was very cold even though the thermostat (AC) was switched off. In the batroom, the shower area spilled water to dry area. The ambience of the property is really good with lot of greenery which is rare in bangalore.

Have you seen stray cats roaming in a 5 star hotel and pounce on you for food? Has a concierge lost your deliveries and then you go to luggage room to retrieve it. All of this has happened with me and my team at The Lalit. Don't know why they claim to be a 5 Star hotel. The service is so poor - they get ironing boards in an hour to your room so good luck if you are planning to get ready. Very bad experience.

Facilities are old, need some more maintenance or update. Service is very good, but the breakfast only offers South Indian style, so i was very hungry every morning during my stay last week....

Rooms are decent and clean however they are extremely old and not renovated even once. The pool caused extreme rashes on my relative's body. The pool is not recommended. The tennis facilities require 1500 for equipment even for a 5 minute play which is highly unreasonable. The food was good and service was satisfiable. Overall not worth spending good amount of money.

I had a very disappointing stay. The hotel room was in very poor condition and was not properly maintained. The worst part was the shower. While I was showering, dirty water with a bad color and a terrible smell came out of the shower. It was completely unacceptable and made the stay very unpleasant. The hotel needs serious maintenance and better hygiene. I would not recommend staying here.
