About The Lord Clyde

The Lord Clyde in Deptford, London, isn't your average spot. It's got this cool, old-school pub vibe but with a twist – it's now a gay cruise club. Think vintage meets vibrant, where you can kick back on classic chesterfield sofas or spice things up in a more, let's say, adventurous setting. Sunday nights at The Lord Clyde are all about the Sunday Social – it's like the highlight of the week. Picture this: a bunch of friendly faces, a relaxed atmosphere, and just a good time all around. It's not just a party; it's like a community get-together where everyone's welcome. So, if you're up for a night that's a bit different from the usual London scene, The Lord Clyde is your go-to. Whether you're in the mood for a laid-back evening or something more on the wild side, this place has got you covered. It's a cool mix of old-school charm and modern-day fun, making it a unique spot in London's gay scene. Just drop by and see for yourself!

I recently attended this pub for their open house event where they open the doors to any gender and sexualities. The place is like the tardis loads of space inside for socialising and a few private areas for more. The bar is well stocked and not expensive and the staff were efficient and friendly. The event was well attended with a good mix of all genders definitely a place I would recommend. A great first visit and not my last

sorry. but this place is rather exclusive for a fit and cute asian guy. maybe just not their cup of tea. got nothing here but much welcome and actions from other venues. the receptionist had a good smile though.

It’s a shame, because this place had the potential to replace other bars and clubs in London. The Lord Clyde has a reputation for being filthy, low‑class, and badly decorated. Everything is mismatched, so you don’t even know where you are. It looks like a cheap 80s disco, with horrible TV screens showing movies nobody wants to watch, disco lights, hangers, boxes, and clutter everywhere. Paint is peeling, the walls are damp, and it all feels cheap and tacky. Inside, it lacks cleanliness, cohesion, and even feels unsafe, with cables and extension cords everywhere and a horrific basement that is cold and messy. Very dirty place, unsafe, with no style or cleanliness. Electric cords and dirty furniture are everywhere, and there is no security at the door.

It’s a lovely local cruise bar with a slowly increasing clientele of all ages. Open Wednesday to Sunday

Visiting from Taiwan/Japan, and this was my first time here. I really enjoyed the Sunday atmosphere, it felt free and uninhibited. It’s cleaner and more affordable than many other venues I’ve been to in London.
