The Vaults Exeter

I’m really sad to be leaving this review on my last ever night in Exeter. I came with my closest friends that I have known for all 3 years of my time at university. We left our night early to try and go to Vaults as we have always enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately in the queue we were wrongfully and unjustly accused of carrying drugs on our person. This was absolutely not true, all we had on us was cigarettes. The bouncers proceeded to be aggressive, rude, and confrontational. This upset me as we genuinely wanted to enjoy our final night before leaving Exeter for good. Unfortunately the bouncers refused to view their body cam footage and proceeded to turn off their cameras once I started arguing for them to. Genuinely the most disappointing end to my university experience and I am deeply upset. I deeply encourage your bouncers to review their behaviour becausw it is disgusting how they allow their egos to dictate who is allowed to enjoy their evenings and not, awful last night and I think your establishment needs reviewing. At least a consideration for CCTV. The refusal to review CCTV is disgusting and unprofessional and your establishment should be ashamed of the kinds of influences it has over people.

I didn't even get to enter this place, the bouncers declared that I was drunk simply because of being in a party spirit after watching football. The first bouncer gave out water and told our group to come back later, and when we did exactly that despite being perfectly collected and more than sober enough already, the second bouncer wouldn't even look at me and just told me "don't care, my house my rules, don't need to explain myself, you're not coming in." None of them would give us the time of day, would give us ANY explanation why I was being singled out, nor why they wouldn't do as they said they would and let us continue our night some time later. Complaining to a manager just got us told off for arguing. I have a hard time accepting how I was singled out, though I am so grateful for my friends sticking with me and refusing to go in until I was going to be accepted. I couldn't tell you if this was a power trip or a racist bouncer picking on the only darker skinned person in our group. We ended up going to another club.

Freya made Vaults a brilliant experience!! She's a 10/10 bartender & the first (and only) to offer us anti-spiking products. Super friendly & makes Vaults feel like a safe environment. We love her!! ❤️❤️

Power-tripping bouncers singling out one of our group and refusing entry for reasons unknown. Felt VERY bad for my friend whose night had to be put on pause for some two hours trying to follow their instructions, come back later etc, and STILL being refused entry. Waste of our time and seemingly purely predicted on lording it up over people on an arbitrary basis. Don't even bother, the other clubs won't harass your friends.

I was in exeter Thursday and Friday, And we went out in the Vault, The Dj on Thursday was amazing good atmosphere really enjoyed, But on Friday! Omg that Dj was so rude, REALLY RUDE was playing bad music he was screaming at other people as well. Disgusting. I do not recommend the vault on Friday and Saturday.
