The Wickham

Came here for the first time recently. Was an enjoyable afternoon of drag shows, music and dancing with friends. Been a few more times since my original review. Have had some food now too. Decent quality and value. However I can't raise my review any higher than 4 stars with the bathroom situation. Always long waits at busy events, with some out of order cubicles at the moment and many others having various types of repair needs. While this is unfortunately common in venues in the area its still a detractor. More urinals may eleviate some of the wait time, or potentially some major renovations to combine and reformat the 2 all gender bathrooms that are side by side and divided by a wall to fit in more cubicles in a more spacewise way.

The food is consistently good, but the drinks feel on the expensive side these days. In the past, there was always something happening, which gave the place a lively atmosphere. Over the last couple of years, though, it seems to have slipped a little. I stopped in recently and it was a nice trip down memory lane, but it also reminded me why I tend to drink elsewhere now. Overall, it’s still pleasant enough, just no longer a regular stop for me.

Only been the once and the service was pretty average from the bar. The food service was fine though. The beer garden looked good and the general feel is quite good. Open to all and everyone but obviously has a speciality customer base but in no way did this vibe make anyone uncomfortable. And yes, in this era I was trying to make the point without offending anyone!

Legit my favourite place to go to in the valley. I love it here. Great vibe! Shout out to Nyx! She really knows how to make a drink! And let’s not forget she’s so the vibe!

Now, this pub was really cool. It is basically one of those inner-city pubs that I absolutely adore. Honestly, I'm not even sure if I can actually fault...

Great place to meet friends have a nice meal and just relax. A long standing gay friendly venue which my partner and I always enjoy.
