We were hoping for some fun loving entertainment for my daughters stagette to see the drag show. The drag show was fine but the fellows at the door and behind the bar were snotty and stuck up. Not warm or welcoming at all. It was Pride Night but these guys really had chips on their shoulders. My 75 year old mom forgot her ID (We know, who does that, but she did) and we were grateful the fellow still let us in but boy did he lecture. He wasn't very kind about it. Then we went to the bar for shots and that fellow also seemed miserable like we were putting him out. And then there was a smell in the bar that was putrid. A mix of different body odors that was off putting. And to top it off, during the drag show, they asked if anyone was celebrating anything that night. My daughter was brought up on stage with many others. When she told them she was getting married, they asked if it was heterosexual and when she said yes, they all booed her. You could say they were just joking around but she was quickly dismissed. The change in enthusiasm compared to the other guests was obvious. I have gay family members. We're not strangers to the community. There's signs all over the place about inclusivity but we sure didn't feel very welcomed.

I went here for a bachelorette party—and as someone visiting from Toronto who had never been to a drag show before, I have to say, I had an absolutely amazing time! The performers were incredible, and the energy in the venue was fantastic. Everyone was just having fun and enjoying the show. The bartenders were super friendly and added to the great atmosphere. I also really appreciated the coat check system—it was so efficient! You enter your cell number on an iPad, and they quickly retrieve your jacket. Such a smart and modern setup. There were different sections throughout the venue for dancing, and I found the basement level especially enjoyable—it was a bit cooler and less crowded than upstairs. If I ever visit Calgary again, I would definitely come back. Such a fun and memorable experience!

This is a shout out specifically to whoever was DJing upstairs on June 21…. I came to the club in the hopes of dancing to the one and only Pitbull, Mr Worldwide if you will, with my pals…. held up my little “Pitbull?” notes app note and showed the downstairs DJ and he did not approve… alas I danced nonetheless… losing all hope of my mission I go upstairs and show the same note to the other dj…. but two minutes pass and MR WORLDWIDE begins to play…. this dj then mixes in not one not two but FOUR Pitbull songs throughout the night as we dance and every time we lose our absolute marbles… (Also he whips out GANGNAM STYLE?? the crowd goes absolutely bananas.) whoever you are Sir DJ….. as Mr W himself once said “Life is not a waste of time, time is not a waste of life. So let's not waste any time and have the time of our lives.” god bless

The durg show was a bit longer but very entertaining! Music was good! There are the maun floor and a basement dance floor. Basement have 2 gender neutral washroom. One has urine bowls and smaller. There are a lounge area (couches and fireplace) with curtains to separate the dance floor areas. There are 2 different locations to order drinks.

Already had a bad experience here on my 30th birthday after being drugged by a bartender who was working with a couple trying to take advantage of me. Then got kicked out shortly after due to "being inappropriate" likely the couple saying something because I didn't follow them to their booth after a free birthday drink. Yes I understand not to take free drinks from anyone but for a queer inclusive place the patrons are very lovely and kind so I didn't expect to have that happen. This place is filthy and bathrooms probably haven't been properly cleaned in YEARS and have broken toilet seats. Also went into the urinal and stalls bathroom one time due to the other being max capacity, to find a guy standing there pleasuring himself right as you walk in the door. Cherry on top was the drag show last night and watching Stephanie Prince berate people to pay her when tipping isn't mandatory and then actually go as far to pull money out of a first time visitors wallet and walk away. Staff didn't do anything to my knowledge as we were sitting right behind them and watch the interaction happen. Sub par queen demanding money and being extremely rude about it was gross. Only good thing about that place is Misty Meadows and The Birthday Girl, hands down the only saving grace of the show last night. They are amazing performers and deserve all the praise. Would consider going back for a top notch RPDR queen being there and having the place actually full and exciting. Also the all male staff and go go dancers is a major disappointment and seems to be more geared towards the queer men of the city and not the queer females. Its our only spot in Calgary but feels the least inclusive of them all. Hopefully ill still be able to attend shows after this if I so desire to ever come back but this review was needed
