Anvil Bar

I heard about this place from a good friend who came here with some friends and thought I would be interested in getting out, being around my community, having a drink, and vibing out. So I finally stopped by to see what he was talking about, since I’ve never been to a gay bar before. Though it was late Sunday night, I was out working and heading home. It wasn’t a lot going on when I stopped in. The vibe and energy I felt walking in were very welcoming. The bartender was professional and helpful. He helped me with my favorite go-to drink as I sat at the bar, journaling and enjoying the DJ's music. As an introvert, the atmosphere felt comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming as I sat around my fellow LGBTQIA family and community. Thank you for a safe space. I will for sure be back!!

Karaoke on Thursdays. Leather competitions and other activities and events. A hole in the wall, gay bar in the way they should be. Old school gay art (pictures of ‘butch’ men) on the walls and no frills atmosphere.

Absolutely the most free expression of who you want to be ever. There were daddies, jock strap wielding hotties, pups, leather bois and just a good mix of gay male humans that aren’t caught up on stupid stuff. What an absolutely amazing bar for Phoenix. I’m returning from Brazil and this made me feel like I was vibing in Rio. Great staff, amazing vibes, and cheap…. Dive cheap with pure love for every human boi that walked through the leather straps to get in. This is my bar, these are my people.

2 for 1 every Wednesday until Christmas eve they decided not to do 2 for 1 cause it was dead and they Wanna make a buck on Christmas eve. after the leather event just made them several money on the Saturday event bad santa and still never got pictures for that dont think would like to waste my time there on new years therr definitely not having 2 for 1 think will be going to parties instead this year

The bartenders really make this place awesome. They change up the music to suit the crowd. I appreciate their contribution to the community by holding various events. They recently shortened the stage area to make more standing space - it looks great.
