ArtHotel Connection

We booked ArtHotel Connection at the very last minute after having a truly horrible experience with an Airbnb, and honestly, arriving here felt like a breath of fresh air. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness. After a stressful start to our trip, it meant so much to feel genuinely welcomed. Staying at a gay hotel was also such a wonderful experience. There was a relaxed, friendly energy throughout the hotel that made us feel completely comfortable and at home. And the staff! They were absolutely lovely. Every time we ran into someone in the hallway, they were friendly, helpful, and happy to recommend cool places to go nearby. That personal touch really made our stay special. Our room was bright and comfortable, with wonderful natural light, great blackout curtains, and a fan that kept the room cool. We especially loved the communal DVD library — borrowing movies and watching them in our room was such a fun, charming touch. It made the hotel feel like a place with personality rather than just somewhere to sleep. The breakfast was thoughtfully laid out every morning and was absolutely worth the extra cost. There are also tons of fantastic restaurants nearby, and the location is wonderfully walkable for exploring Berlin. And we have to mention the charming little elevator that takes you up into the hotel — it added to the whole experience! If we return to Berlin, we will absolutely stay at ArtHotel Connection again. There are plenty of reasons to love this place, but for us, it was the kindness and warmth of the staff that made it memorable. After a terrible Airbnb experience, they reminded us how much a genuinely welcoming place can change a trip. We loved our stay!

The hotel is not prepared for summer. There is not air conditioning!!! The staff was very friendly. Communication with the hotel was excellent. The location is great, right next to the metro station. The place is very clean, and the breakfast is good. I liked it because the hotel guests were quiet and respectful. The only problem is the lack of air conditioning. It was unbearably hot. The hotel is not prepared for summer. I suggest not staying there in the summer. I also chose this hotel because the photos show beautiful artwork on the walls. However, my room only had one painting. I found it a bit disappointing because I was looking for something different, like what was shown in the photos. Furthermore, the courtyard is unusable; the photos of the courtyard are very nice, but it's not accessible.

Beautiful building. Premises (i.e., inside the building, such as hallways and rooms) are nice enough; nothing to be super thrilled about. Clean rooms. The staff could be friendlier (they seemed bothered by questions) and more responsive (rather than guests having to follow-up multiple times). I'd skip my stay here on my next visit.

Excellent location and quiet. Good size room. The staff are very friendly. Less than 5 minutes to the metro. Walking distance to a lot of bars, restaurants and shopping. Very safe. Highly recommended.

PHOTOS ATTACHED which can clarify my review… I waited almost one month to write this review because I wanted the hotel to have an ample opportunity. I have EXHAUSTED every single method of communication with this hotel in an attempt to contact them regarding a stay here. I have sent 2 contact forms, 4 emails, I have messaged on Facebook and also sent (now) 5 instagram dms. I have even commented on Facebook and Instagram posts asking them to please respond to my attempts of contact and I have had absolutely ZERO response from this hotel on ANY platform. I live overseas in SE Asia and cannot make international phone calls with my provider, so the other 5-6 methods of communication made me think I’d get a response, but no. Nothing. I’m SO disappointed 😢 genuinely I am. I wanted to stay in this hotel so badly but unfortunately they just for some reason literally will NOT communicate with their customers. It’s my first ever trip to Europe as part of a celebratory holiday and I really wanted to stay here, so I am devastated that after almost a month of trying.. I just cannot get through to these people. Very sad.
