The hotel is very well located and the main public areas are clean and in good condition overall. I had a superior room which was a great size and comfortable. It was cleaned every day. All my interactions with staff were professional and friendly. Special mention for Alvaro who checked me out and was very charming. Close to many gay venues but also connected well to public transport and a good base to explore Barcelona

Fantastic hotel in a great location. The Premier Room was spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop pool and Skyline Bar were perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Barcelona. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, and everything I needed was within walking distance, making it an ideal base for a solo trip. The only minor issues I experienced were with housekeeping, but these were quickly resolved and didn't affect my overall stay. I enjoyed my stay so much that I'm already planning a return visit.

The hotel was excellent, with a wonderful atmosphere and an amazing location that made it easy to access everything around the city. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Our flight was scheduled for the evening, so we needed somewhere to store our luggage while we explored the city. We asked if the hotel could help, and although many other hotels we have stayed at did not offer this service, they were happy to store our luggage for us. This was a huge convenience and saved us a lot of time and hassle. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Joaquin and his team for their excellent service and hospitality. We truly appreciated their help and would happily stay here again.

My stay at Axel Hotel Barcelona was once again an excellent experience. The highlight, was Carlo from Cuba at reception. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made a lasting impression. He is an exceptional team member, and any hotel would be lucky to have someone like him. The entire team was welcoming and attentive, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. As a member, Axel Hotel Barcelona continues to be my preferred choice whenever I visit. Thank you for consistently providing such a wonderful atmosphere and experience.

This is a gorgeous LGBT friendly venue in a very central location. The staff at the Front desk is so welcoming and lovely. Now the issue comes when patronizing the bar in the 7th floor. It’s a gorgeous bar with lovely views, however I want you to be very mindful as a tourist. The bar staff can be very short, they don’t say hi and make you feel ignored often. I have worked in hospitality for more than 25 years and it cost nothing to be nice. If you can’t take care of a patron the least you can do is acknowledge their presence and let them know you will be taking care of them shortly. The irony is, it takes the bar staff 30 mins to make a single cocktail but don’t be fooled if you get up from your table for a second to grab another drink they will take your drinks without asking and dispose of it. They took our bottle from our table, mind you it was 3/4 full while a lovely performer offered to buy me a drink for participating in the show. It left such a negative impact on me. I immediately called out the bar staff for removing our bottle and suddenly the bottle appeared out of nowhere. That’s a little suspicious. Side note: don’t leave your phone or articles at the tables. I took off my earrings during a performance and those disappeared as well.
