About Backdoor

Backdoor, a club that proudly claims to be the largest gay club in Scandinavia, is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience Stockholm’s LGBTQ+ nightlife. Tucked near the Tele2 Arena, it’s a pulsating hub for partygoers every Friday and Saturday night, with doors staying open until a glorious 5 AM. That's pretty rare in Sweden, where most places shut down much earlier! What sets Backdoor apart is its eclectic vibe. With three dance floors, you can groove to everything from house and techno to ‘90s pop and bangers. International DJs frequently take over the decks, ensuring the energy stays high. While the music is top-tier, be ready for Stockholm prices – entry and drinks can be a bit steep, but totally worth it if you're chasing that perfect night out. The crowd? Mostly young, mixed with men, women, and a solid blend of both local and international guests. It’s a great spot for big parties, including many that coincide with Pride festivities, making it a go-to for anyone who loves a vibrant, inclusive scene. Just remember – like any great night out, arrive early to avoid the queues at the bar and coat check.

First time at this club, and now I understand the comments and why it’s empty even on a Saturday. The club is beautiful, the music is great, and it had everything to be a perfect night. The problem is the security staff. After 3 a.m., they come in and start picking people to throw out, even when the place is almost empty. They are rude, aggressive, and just want to show power. The guy in the photo simply took our friend away from our table saying he needed to “talk,” then told her she was drunk and should leave for the night. The funny part? She hadn’t had a single drop of alcohol. As a result, we left. We were really enjoying ourselves—it was her first time there too—and of course, after that, none of us wanted to stay. We were frustrated, because we were happy, consuming, and just chilling. These security guards are ruining your club, and I sadly feel you will end up closing soon if you don’t address these complaints and this abuse of authority. I understand that drunk people can cause trouble, fights, and it’s important to protect the venue and the customers. But kicking people out randomly, without drinking, without even listening or proving anything—it’s unbelievably bad!

What the heck is this place? Anything I say would just repeat what’s already been mentioned in the reviews. It’s intimidating to even walk in, with someone interrogating you about how much you’ve had to drink. The staff has terrible vibes. Honestly, I wish the security guy had stopped me from going in, it would’ve saved me time. Total waste.

Friendly and inclusive clientele. Music and atmosphere were good. Drink prices were extortionate

A big disappointment. A half-empty club with a bad atmosphere and music. Very unpleasant staff who might tell you to leave the club with the explanation that you are drunk.

We read the reviews about the unacceptable behavior at the entrance (and not only), but we did not believe that without reason, without cause, without explanation, the people in charge could behave in this way. So we decided to go. Let me explain that I am 57 years old and have been to some of the biggest clubs in the world in Paris, London, Athens, Mykonos, New York, Sydney, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Lisbon, etc, etc, to the biggest festivals Matrix, La démence, Circuit, etc. When we arrived at the club we said good evening and the answer was "how much have you drunk today?". Of course we didn't look drunk, simply because we were not drunk. Then they told us that we had to be in the guest list to enter, so we asked if there was a special event or something but we got no answer. What is the relationship between being in the guest list and alcohol consumption, anyway? Having read the previous reviews we decided that it was useless to discuss something that had already been decided and we simply left. We asked the next people in line if they were going to a private party and they said no. The next people said the same thing... and the next people... and the next people..., because apparently there was no private party, they just didn't want us to enter the place. I would like an answer from the club managers, for what reasons we were denied entry. A convincing answer addressed to a reasonable adult and not to a child, not an answer: "we are here for your good:, "we protect you", etc. I am a level 7 guide, with thousands of points on google and I believe that MANY people would like to publicly read your explanation, in which you will receive my answer....
