About BEqueer

BEqueer is one of Athens’ go-to spots for LGBTQ+ nightlife, located in the lively Gazi neighborhood, near the Kerameikos metro. The club opens its doors every Friday and Saturday from midnight until the early morning, offering an energetic and welcoming space for all. Known for its vibrant themed nights, BEqueer’s events regularly feature top-notch DJs spinning a mix of old-school hits, rare tracks, and crowd-pleasers, creating a dance floor that's always buzzing. What sets BEqueer apart is its live drag shows, which add a playful and interactive element to the night. The performers are known for their charisma and creativity, making the shows a highlight of the club’s offerings. The staff, including bartenders and security, are generally praised for being warm and friendly, though the venue can get quite busy, especially later in the night, so it’s wise to arrive early to avoid the queue. The crowd at BEqueer is diverse, attracting a mix of locals and visitors from all walks of life. Whether you’re there for the music, the shows, or just a few drinks with friends, the atmosphere is casual and fun—perfect for a memorable night out in Athens.

It is hands down the best queer bar in athens. I am 29 years old and I have been going there for more than 10 years. If you wanna dance, you go to bequeer. As a local I can understand why some tourists give bad reviews and honestly I get it. But the bouncer is the most anti racist, feminist and most welcoming individual. If you do not know her story, do not speak about her. She has been going to demonstrations since day 1 . And she is one of the gems of the athenian lgbt+ community. A person that will stay in our history books. AGAIN. If you do not know her story, do not talk about her. Most people smoke in clubs in Greece. If you don't like that, go to an open space bar. As a non smoker, I am just used to it. But bequeer is the safest , most welcoming, most fun club in Athens . And the people there are the kindest and most supportive people of our community.

An real QUEER place. What you can expect: diversity, inclusiveness and people of all ages, races, identities. What you won't find is another cis-male gay place. Music and shows are AMAZING. Staff was very friendly towards us as foreigners (regardless of what you can read in other opinions). Definitely a place to visit when in Athens ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

My best nights in Athens have been in BEqueer! Fantastic staff and amazing performers, the DJ never disappoints. One of the few queer spaces in Athens that own freedom of expression and have an active awareness team that made me feel very safe!

We came as a group of 3 and were told that foreigners must be 21+ to enter BY LAW, while Greeks must be 18, despite the law being 18 for all people. Being residents of Greece, we know this is not the law, and even after bringing this to their attention they became argumentative and still did not allow us to enter. They really tried to lie to us many times saying it's just how the law works in Greece, finally admitting it's their boss decision instead. Despite talking to them calmly asking for clarifications, I was told "I was attacking them". Additionally, we have been to this club the time before with no such problems. Felt really discriminatory against foreigners and age groups for no reason, also considering we live and work in Athens but don't have a greek ID yet. They even asked for passports instead of IDs which was really strange. Avoid if you don't like discrimination and being lied to. Let me also add that, since reading the other reviews it looks like they occasionally don't let straight people in, none of us is straight. We had a lot of fun the night they let us in, but we are not coming back to this club.
