Big bar

Quaint “bear” bar off the beaten track. Had only good experiences and good conversations. Worth a visit for the weary traveller whom wants to explore gay life in Athens, meeting locals and travellers alike. Go later than expected, before 22:00 it can be emptier, although you will always have a friendly staff member, welcoming everyone and cold beer on hand.

I was here once in 2019 and I had a very bad experience, mainly from the crowd there who were very unfriendly, and promised myself to never visit the place again. After 5 years all of my local friends told me to give this place a second chance and I did last night. The place is miles better than what it used to be. The bartender was nice to me and chatty. They played a mix of all the music I like, especially they played few rock songs, very rare for a gay bar to do that. The drinks were nice and the vibe was much better than 5 years ago. I'll try to catch the weekend drag show. Otherwise, on my next time in Athens.

The bartender was lovely and we had a great conversation while I was there. The place is quite nice and you will probably feel comfy there.

Visited on a Wednesday night, not very busy but the reviews were correct, the bartender was very welcoming and sweet. We met a group of guys who were also from New York. Cute little bar.

Very welcoming staff and guests. The bartender and Greek guy we sat next to at the bar were very chatty and hospitable. They both gave us recommendations on local restaurants and sites to see. Despite being quiet when we were there (it was Easter), we had a great time. I highly recommend taking a beer or two when in Athens. Also, very close to the Kerameikos metro stop.
