If you want a Bangkok drag show with zero chance of quietly hiding at the back, BIPOLAR SILOM is your kind of place. This compact gay bar on Silom Soi 4 puts the queens almost in your lap, with lip-syncs, choreography, comedy, themed looks and audience participation unfolding on a tiny stage just above the Silver Sand building. The room is small, the energy is gloriously oversized and by showtime it can feel like half of Bangkok's LGBTQ+ nightlife has squeezed in for a front-row view. The Bipolar Girls are the reason to come, but the night does not stop when the wigs leave the stage. DJs keep things moving with pop, hip-hop and party tracks, while the outdoor-facing area and street-level antics spill some of the show into one of gay Bangkok's busiest nightlife lanes. For LGBTQ+ travellers looking for a drag bar in Bangkok that feels cheeky, chaotic and much more intimate than a formal cabaret, BIPOLAR is one of Silom's strongest weekend picks. Arrive before the first big show if you want somewhere to sit — otherwise expect to be standing, cheering, tipping and probably getting dragged into the action.

Expect a deliberately intimate drag-club experience rather than a sit-down theatre show. The queens perform close to the audience, the room fills quickly and participation is part of the fun. After the main drag sets, DJs keep the weekend party going until late.

Practical tips before you visit

BIPOLAR currently opens Friday to Sunday from 21:00 to 02:00; it is closed Monday to Thursday.

Drag performances generally begin around 22:00–22:30 and the small room can become standing-room-only quickly.

Recent reports put the cover around ฿350–฿500 and often include two drinks, but prices and packages can change — check @bipolarsilom before going.

Bring cash or Thai QR payment for tipping the performers; tipping is a big part of the atmosphere.

The venue is on the second floor at the entrance to Silom Soi 4, only a couple of minutes from BTS Sala Daeng.

At first we didn’t expect much because the stage seemed small, but then six hours came by and we didn’t notice. The drag queens had done amazing work, been dancing and lipsyncing the house down. They knew how to involve the audience, I even managed to come up on stage once. We were so entertained, LOVED the experience. Thank you ♥️

Located near Sala Daeng BTS station at the corner of Silom road and Silom 4 alley, above the Silver Sand restaurant. The LGBTQ+ friendly club opens at about 9:30 pm. Shows starts about 10:30pm by that time it standing room only. It is small, with plenty of bar tables and stools and lounges seating along the back, giving an intimate vibe. The stage and performers are close and personable during their performance. Choreography and lighting bring a cabaret ambiance to the club. It is a comfortable venue for first-timers to see a Thailand drag show. The disco/ ballroom show is blast. Allow the audience to strut their best red-carpet walk to compete for prizes. The door fee is 400 baht include two drinks. Cover can be paid by cash/ cards, or QR code. Bar only cash and QR code.

Hands down, one of my favorite drag shows I’ve seen. The girls clearly love what they’re doing. They looked amazing, brought a ton of energy, and made sure the crowd was having fun. The waiters are quick to bring drinks so you can enjoy the show without leaving your seat. So much fun, would recommend to anyone who enjoys drag.
