Lesbian and sapphic history museum and gallery
The Charlotte Museum collects and shares lesbian and sapphic history and the heritage of Aotearoa’s rainbow communities. Its Howe Street space combines exhibitions with a research library, archive and community events. All visitors are welcome. Use the current Freemans Bay premises, where the museum moved in 2023, rather than older New Lynn addresses. Check the programme for exhibition changes, talks and temporary installation closures.
