Nice cocktail bar. Drinks are on the expensive side. Just be careful and check your bill. There were only a few people on a Monday night (March 9) and yet they overcharged us. We did ask them to correct the bill. They did correct it but they still charged the wrong amount. Check the amount before you swipe. We overpayed 50k VND. We did messaged them in IG but no reply.

Unsafe, full stop. Someone is bound to get hurt if they don’t start controlling the number of ppl allowed. Nightmare. God forbid there’s an emergency. Yes, the music can be quite good, and yes, there are plenty of hungry, hunky-looking guys if that’s what you’re into. But the number of people they allow into this narrow venue makes it genuinely unsafe. We’re talking literal sardines in a pot. You have no choice but to push or be pushed just to move, and when most of the crowd is made up of tall, solid lads, that’s not exactly easy. It’s constant, unavoidable, and frankly exhausting. Ofc this forced pushing creates an environment where groping easily happens. Stressed and trying to wriggle your way out of the packed crowd and then some prick uses that vulnerable moment to grab your butt? Lovely. It honestly feels like the Itaewon crowd disaster in South Korea, with people compressed into tight spaces and unable to move. I wish I was exaggerating. People don’t seem to learn, even though this is entirely preventable. Once the place is filled to the rim, there’s obviously barely any space left to dance. Ordering drinks then becomes another hazard and honestly feels ridiculous. Drinks can only be ordered from one side of the bar near the entrance? Which is impossible to reach if you’re on the other side. There are also so many stools around the bar that you always gotta annoy some ppl sitting down there to even order. Even if you pay extra for a table, don’t expect table service. Staff nearby will still send you back into the crowd to order at the bar, although exceptions seem to be made randomly? Our table gave up on getting drinks altogether because it was impossible. Don’t they want our money? Why even allow this many people if they can’t order anyway? They’re losing out on a lot of money. They seriously need to rethink their layout or enforce a strict capacity limit. Right now, it feels like an accident waiting to happen, which is a real shame, because this place could be great if they fixed the crowding and safety issues. P.S: Yes this was a Saturday evening.

We came to Chinchin for drinks. Setting is lovely. Range of drinks is excellent. We tried four cocktails and all were good and reasonably priced. Staff were super friendly and very experienced - they also gave us a lovely free shot! Can’t wait to visit at a weekend!

This was the best bar experience I’ve ever had. My sisters and I went here after eating dinner at Rice Field, a restaurant I definitely recommend. Chin Chin was a bit empty when we arrived around 9pm on a Tuesday night. The music was a bit loud, and the first few songs were a bit too vulgar for my taste. Later on, they played better music. Anyway, this review is late, so I can’t remember the bartender’s (mixologist?) name. But, he was the best! He was engaging and got to know us. He even created drinks for us based on our personalities and our tastes. What made me the happiest was that each drink from both the menu and the bartender’ choices represented Vietnam in some way. This met my expectation of a having a cultural experience and not just standard drinks. Definitely a 5-star experience. [We didn’t eat the food here, so my review doesn’t include that.]
