About City Of Quebec

The City of Quebec in London stands out as a distinctive and welcoming venue in the heart of the city's vibrant gay scene. Nestled in Marble Arch, this historic gay bar, established since the 1930s, offers a unique blend of classic charm and contemporary vibrancy, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike. The bar's atmosphere is a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. Following a significant refurbishment by Greene King in late 2015, the décor has been revitalized, moving away from its 1970s style. This transformation has been well-received by its loyal patrons, who continue to flock to the venue for its lively entertainment and welcoming environment. The City of Quebec is renowned for hosting an array of exciting events, including performances by exotic drag queens like Lola Lasagne, Vanity Von Glow, and Baga Chipz (MBE), adding a flamboyant flair to the bar's ambiance. The venue offers a range of fairly priced wines and sub-£50 Bollinger, alongside a selection of £7 cocktails such as Kir Royale or Dainty Damsel (a Sipsmith damson vodka Bellini). For those who prefer traditional brews, options like Timothy Taylor Landlord, Greene King IPA, or Peroni are available on draught. The bar also serves a variety of snacks, including club sandwiches, aubergine Korean curry, or nachos, catering to diverse palates. A notable feature of the City of Quebec is its basement area, where guests can "Shake Your Groove Thing" until the early hours of the morning. The bar's late license allows customers to enjoy an affordable late-night out, with a different DJ each night playing a mix of classic and contemporary tunes. This makes it an ideal spot for those looking to dance the night away in a fun and inclusive environment. The City of Quebec has successfully maintained its appeal as a cornerstone of London's LGBT community, adapting to the changing times while retaining its original charm and character.

A very vibrant, fun and fascinating place settings in a little side street in Marble arch. The servers Victor and Alexis were so friendly and welcoming. I had only intended to passed through for a quick drink and a pizza but ended up staying for the Drag show. The amazing proformanes were a glittery, dazzling and sharp witted ensemble delivered by both Martha D Arthu and Irene Bru! Every member of the audience were invited to participate in the comedy, laughter and singing. A completely unexpected and fun night. All this entertainment was suprisingly free in the heart of London. I'm so looking forward to returning again soon. The cabaret shows are from Thursday to Saturday! Thanks everyone, your a very special team 😀

After a long day walking around London, we ended up near Hyde Park and stopped at this lovely pub—and I’m so glad we did! We were all absolutely exhausted, especially the kids, but the experience turned our evening around. The lady serving us was incredibly kind and welcoming. She went out of her way to make a fresh pizza just for the kids, which they absolutely loved. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made a big difference after such a tiring day. The food was comforting, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff truly made us feel at ease. It was exactly what we needed to end our day on a high note. Thank you for your kindness—we’ll definitely remember this visit!.

What a fantastic first visit to the City of Quebec! My friend was visiting all the way from Germany, and we were both made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Helen and Hayden were absolutely amazing ,so friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. Their great service really made the experience even more enjoyable and memorable for us both. The venue itself was fantastic with such a great atmosphere. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!
