About Club Escape

Club Escape is an LGBTQ+ show lounge and dance venue on East 75th Street in Chicago’s South Side. It provides an important nightlife destination beyond the better-known Northalsted and Andersonville neighbourhoods. The venue combines a traditional show-bar atmosphere with a dance club. Weekly entertainment includes drag performances hosted by Mz Ruff N’ Stuff and the Delegation, alongside DJs playing house music, hip-hop, R&B, urban music and old-school favourites. Thursdays are centred around the Diversion drag show, while Spotlight Saturdays feature one of the venue’s longest-running performance programmes. Friday events generally focus more heavily on DJs, dancing and house or hip-hop music. Occasional Sunday day parties and holiday-weekend events also appear on the calendar. Club Escape attracts a broad mix of ages and genders and includes a large outdoor patio for smoking and socialising. Table reservations are available for selected shows and parties. $15 at the 🚪. But drinks are reasonable. My bartender was fab( pic below). It get steamy in here.

This place was fun! As an out of town first time visitor, on a rainy night I had an absolute ball! The bar staff were really friendly as well as the front door bouncer! This place was nothing like the horrible experience I had the night before at "SideTrack" in downtown Chicago. The lil short black man who appeared to be the owner or manager was fine! I should have spoken to him, but he was busy. He needs to find me...ijs...🤣 Overall, the joint was cool, and the Anita Baker impersonator for the drag show was PHENOMENAL! This made my 1st Chicago visit all worth it...I had a blast!

Nice club/bar/lounge space with great drinks. Live dj spinning the beats. Loved the people and the atmosphere. Will definitely go back again. Dress is casual. Cash and credit cards were accepted. I wish they made a whiskey/Scotch/bourbon type drink in the tall picther.

Only real gay club on the Southside. Drinks are cheap and extremely boozey, the crowd is older but nice. AWESOME HEATED PATIO with a lot of weed smokers there. Just make sure you bring money for the cover and for tips if it's a drag night. They also do game night and it seems like there is a bit of a running poker game 😉 Awesome hometown crowd. I love the staff and your queens slay 👑😍

Hadn't been there in years but it was nice hanging out. Drinks were good & strong. Show was wonderful as always. The male dancers dancing the bar - now that's new to me, but the fellas enjoyed it... Lol
