About Club Helsinki

Club Helsinki is Leicester’s main dedicated LGBTQ+ nightclub and the place to head when a pub night needs a louder ending. The music leans towards pop, dance remixes and queer anthems, with resident DJs, drag appearances and special events keeping the programme varied. Thursday to Saturday form the regular late-night core, and Pride or bank-holiday parties can run later. The club has served Leicester’s queer nightlife in different forms for decades, so the crowd usually includes familiar local faces alongside students and visitors.

What a fantastic place! The music was great, the service from the bar was great, prices were reasonable, atmosphere was such an awesome vibe! Everyone made us feel welcome and was so friendly. Honestly had the best night out in ages, can't wait to go again 😎

If you a fight or pay whatever the person on door decides he wants to charge u or pay £20 for a little bucket with 1 tiny shot alcohol in probably watered down at that this is the place to go

It was good, think we got there too early but did get busier as the night went on! Night was unfortunately ruined when security approached me and my group and yelled at us for “slagging” of the dj.. this most definitely did not happen considering me and another of my friends in the group had only had 1 drink so knew exactly what was going on. Definitely don’t see the need to approach and yell at a young girl for something they didn’t even get correct! Makes me not want to go back.

Fun and friendly atmosphere and great music selection. Staff are friendly and made a trans woman like me feel totally at ease. Only the slightest moan was the ladies toilets doesn't have a mirror in it. Please put one in, so lipstick and make up can be checked for a woman like me.

It was ok, but I guess we were there too early, it only started filling up at 2am. Asked the DJ for a song, he said ok, but then waited for an hour in vain - he did not play it 😞
