Crew Club DC

This is the worst bathhouse in the US It’s actually quite a reflection on DC: make money off a marginalized community, hire unhelpful staff, while pouring back 0 resources back while hoarding wealth How has your gym been under construction for 2 years? Steam room or dry sauna broken half the times. They’ve now completely eliminated the dark room (it’s currently under renovation with sawdust everywhere, who knows how long this project of theirs will take) Like, what amenities are we actually paying for?? How do these “repairs” happen for so long, yet you keep increasing the prices for customers while offering nothing. They’re the only bathhouse I know that offers 30 day membership max (for $50) in hopes DC is transient enough and their customers are foolish enough to fall for it During peak hours, I’ve found condom wrappers, syringes, and even a medical device that helps with said injections into the bloodstream in the locker room area. I’ve actually never seen the staff pick up a mop or wipe anything down Your carpet is giving hotel lobby from the 90’s who’s never been steamed. There is so much soot built in from all the wet feet stomping on the carpet for over a decade. There’s actually 0 ventaliation in there so we’re def walking around mold. It always smells like a wet lockeroom. It’s actually quite disgusting of an operation for a bathhouse Don’t even get me started about how slow the staff moves when checking you in. The only reason the line is so long is because the staff chooses when they want to work. Like, you’re not the cool kids in HS gatekeeping, just do ur job and keep it pushing. Usually 1 person checking in and 3 people standing around just chatting it up Whoever owns this establishment, it is very apparent it’s a money grab. It’s actually time to call a donkey what it is EDIT: The pictures provided of this establishment 9 years ago, is definitely NOT how it looks like on the inside. Half the furniture in the original upload ain’t even there anymore. Y’all even included the first pic of a gym that doesn’t exist anymore. Be so forreal😂😂

I visited a gay sauna called Crew Club in Washington, DC. As far as I know, it’s the only sauna of its kind in the city. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The place lacked any real sauna atmosphere. It was actually very cold inside, which is completely the opposite of what you would expect. People were walking around in regular clothes instead of towels because of how cold it was. The only thing warm in the entire place was the water coming from the taps. For a city like Washington, DC, it’s honestly quite embarrassing that a venue like this operates at such a low standard. I’ve visited many gay saunas around the world — in Thailand, Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Brussels, Paris, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, the Netherlands, and more — and I have never seen such illogical rules as in Crew Club. One of the most unnecessary aspects is that they charge an additional membership fee. The only positive thing I can mention is that the staff were kind and friendly. Overall, this is definitely not a place to spend your time, and I would not recommend it at all. In Washington, DC, going to bars makes much more sense. A better option would be renting a nice hotel room and meeting people at bars, then inviting them there. Also, as mentioned, the entire place is cold, and alcohol is strictly prohibited. You cannot bring drinks from outside either, as bags are checked at the entrance

A pretty nice experience. The staff might a little bit cold but that's not a deal breaker for me. The sauna room both dry and wet is decent, though I wish they can get a traditional one with hot stone, herb and water that people can add once in a while. The play room is fine, nothing stellar But I got to meet a lot of interesting people to say the least, very enjoyable Update: Facility: it's still ok as usual, it's a little bit weird that both of the wet and dry sauna broke down during pride, hope they fix it soon. I also wish they add more seats and equipments in the play room Employees: some of them are really nice and i think one guy in there like me, or maybe he extra flirty, idk People: it can be hit or miss, that's the nature of the club. Some night you can hit a jackpot with all sorts of interesting people, some are just unlucky and you just go home empty handed. I'm not mad about that

The crew club as a place is pretty much clean and the stuff as always been nice,friendly as long as I been going. Now for the clientele depending on how you look your experience is different. If u are hot,gym body or model looking of course you will get action. If you are average looking or below" going by what i seen over the years" u can get look over. I had my share of fun and I had my share of no fun so that how it is. Sometimes I feel a racist vibe is in the air,but I can't prove that so I can't a accuse anyone of that. Although the place for the most is mostly white men looking g for other white men it just a preference I guess. When I go I just open i fine guys who are thier for fun and not hang up on looking for the perfect guy,which dose from time to time. So I am an average or below black man and I know what to expect when I go.

To sum up: 200% never coming back! No jacuzzi, no pool, gym not working, steam room not working, snacks service not available, no light in the sauna, no water fountain. Having to pay for a membership when its a one-shot as traveling, plus locker fees, total: 39e. Scam. Staff was rude and not interested in customer experience, not willing to offer discount nor nothing per the facilities not working. Probably due to poor management. Advice to any investors: buy this place and start it over, thats a shame of a place for the capital of one of the most wealthy country in the word. Funny thing, at least a nice plant in the entrance, but looked more like a salad to me :)
