Hidden down an alley near Thomas Circle, Green Lantern is one of Washington DC’s longest-running gay nightlife institutions. The venue spreads across two levels, with a neighborhood-bar feel downstairs and a livelier dance space above. Its calendar is known for shirtless drink specials, underwear and leather-flavored events, DJs and themed parties. The mood is welcoming but distinctly adult, attracting a largely gay male crowd and becoming much cruisier later at night.
