Descanso Resort

Descanso Resort is a well-run and welcoming men’s retreat. The staff were attentive, the facilities were well-maintained, and the included meals were generous. All of this makes for a relaxing, social, and luxurious stay. Every staff member I met was friendly and focused on making guests comfortable. Staff were always around if needed but never intrusive, and any small requests were handled with care. The resort is in excellent condition. The grounds, pool deck, and common areas were clean and well-maintained. Both the pool and hot tub were spotless. My ground-level pool suite was spacious and well-decorated, making it perfect for a longer stay. Besides a comfortable bed, the room had a sofa, a desk, a chest of drawers, reliable Wi-Fi, and a large-screen TV. The layout made it easy to work or relax without feeling cramped. A serene atmosphere makes it suitable for whatever you are looking for during your vacation. Being on the first floor, I did contend with overhead noise, as I could hear my neighbor walking around. However, I would choose a ground-floor, poolside room again for convenience. Breakfast and lunch are included in the room rate, and both offer plenty of options. Having fresh meals on-site made it easy to plan relaxed days by the pool or in my suite. The guest culture at Descanso is also special. During my week there, I found other guests to be fun and friendly. There’s a nice balance: it’s easy to have conversations, but there’s no pressure to socialize. The clothing‑optional resort and compact layout foster a sense of ease and privacy, yet you are always just steps from your room, the pool, and the cantina, which keeps everything convenient. My stay here was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by warm, smiling staff and a beautifully designed property with a clean mid-century feel. The complimentary touches really stood out to me: 24-hour snacks in the cantina, free breakfast, and even boxed lunches. It all felt thoughtful and generous without being overdone. The pool was an absolute highlight, kept at a perfect 90 degrees and such a pleasure to swim in. Our room, with its soothing green tones, felt calm and welcoming every time I walked in. I also appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property: towels on the sunbeds, sunscreen available for guests, and music that shifted beautifully from peaceful mornings to more energetic afternoons. It made the whole place feel intentional and well cared for. One of my favorite parts of the stay was how peaceful it felt at night. I tend to wake up more often these days, and being able to step outside and sit by the quiet, clean pool in the middle of the night felt unexpectedly luxurious. The staff were consistently kind and accommodating, and I can say without hesitation that I would absolutely stay here again. They offer snacks throughout the day, afternoon popsicles, and soft drinks and fresh fruit available 24/7 — making the value nearly impossible to beat. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and tastefully designed. The pool and pool lounge area are incredible, creating the perfect place to relax after a long day. The guests are friendly, and the staff is absolutely amazing. For us, there’s simply no other choice when visiting Palm Springs than Descanso. This was our first visit to Palm Springs and we will definitely return and stay at Descanso. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The resort was clean, and beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Our spacious room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The complimentary breakfast and lunch was wonderful, as well as access to Starbucks coffee, and other refreshments throughout the day. The pool, the hot tub, the fire pit all made for the perfect relaxing getaway.

This is our 3rd time visiting Descanso. It is always a great experience. Breakfast and lunch is included during your stay which is perfect for a lazy days by the pool. The staff takes great care of the property and the guests. We always have a great time getting to know the other guests who travel in from all of the country. We will definitely return.
