Big-stage gay club with live music, shows and late-night DJs
Fake Club Bangkok offers a very different night out from the compact bars of Silom. The sprawling Ratchadaphisek venue is built around a large stage and catwalk, with powerful lighting, lasers and a concert-style sound system. The crowd skews young, fashionable and predominantly Thai and Asian, although international visitors are welcome. Nights typically begin with live bands performing Thai and international pop before shifting into drag, dance and male model shows, followed by DJs and a more conventional club atmosphere later on. The venue is especially busy on weekends and for themed events, when the production can include elaborate costumes, runway-style performances and special stage effects.
Expect a loud, high-energy, production-heavy club rather than an intimate bar. Many guests book or pay for tables, while standing at the bar can be a simpler option. The live-band and show elements are a major part of the experience, with the club usually becoming more dance-focused later in the night.
