I have frequently Freedom many times and it’s always been a great night out. The entertainment downstairs is always fun with great singers and a genuinely fun and enjoyable vibe. They may occasionally refuse people at the door but only when the place is literally heaving or large groups of drunk “Lads” who haven’t quite realised it’s a queer venue.

I work in the area and we really like to hang out in Freedom after work. The staff is always lovely and the atmosphere great. They have a good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices, the place is clean and looks fancy and the music when we go party is always top notch. Would definitely recommend for an afternoon drink (around 17:00) is still quiet so it's a good place to meet up with friends for a catch up. Also a shout out to one of the managers, Daniele, he always takes great care of the customers :)

I had a fantastic experience at this venue. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth, welcoming, and well organized. The atmosphere is great, the service is efficient, and the team clearly works together to create a positive environment. A special mention goes to Daniele, who truly makes a difference. He helps, supports, and making sure the overall organization runs perfectly. His professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to step in wherever needed do not go unnoticed. It’s rare to see someone so dedicated and involved in every aspect of the operation. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️

Never have I left a negative review before, but after last night I felt compelled to. After arriving at the venue my group of friends and I checked our coats and bags into the cloakroom. My friend gave her coat and bag together and received a single tag for it. When we tried to collect our stuff, before the big queue piled up, the people working in the cloakroom said they were unable to find my friend’s coat, after having a brief look. (a vintage, floorlength emerald coat - one you might be able to find if you spend longer than 10 seconds looking for it) but she was told to wait until everyone else in the club had collected their stuff and left. However, this situation wasn’t the worst part: the security-guard inside te venue is the reason this was such a bad experience. Incredibly rude, condescending and with an aggressive energy he treated us as if we were escalating a situation, when literally all we did was stand there, look at the coatrack and wait - not bothering the cloakroom attendants, or keeping them from helping other customers, not standing in the way and blocking the queue. That a securityguard might need to speak to very intoxicated- or intimidating costumers in such a tone, I’m able to understand, but it is completely unnecessary to balk at three young women, worried about a coat containing housekeys and student ID amongst other things, in such a disrespectful way. It was the night of 26-27 november, he was wearing a tight black hat. (We weren’t the only costumers who’s coats got lost and then subsequently told off by this security-guard)That things might get momentarily misplaced is understandable, but I really hope you’ll be able to pick this up and ensure that every employee at your venue knows how to treat others with respect, and show at least a minimal amount of empathy. As I have had lovely experiences at Freedom in the past, I am sad to have to leave a bad review, but as a venue attracting young and vulnerable groups of people, I’m sure you also think it’s very important to have a staff that is concerned with both safety and people feeling safe.
