About FunnyBoyz Liverpool

FunnyBoyz is one of Liverpool’s biggest drag-led entertainment venues and operates from its own Blundell Street space. The format is deliberately interactive: drag shows, bingo, bottomless brunches, tribute acts, cocktail experiences and visiting performers rather than a conventional stand-at-the-bar nightclub.\n\nThe Liverpool venue is also unusually strong on accessibility, with step-free access, accessible toilets and quiet or low-stimulation breakout areas. FunnyBoyz describes the project as non-profit, with profits supporting LGBTQ+ charities and initiatives.

What to expect

A ticketed, interactive drag-cabaret experience with brunches, bingo and visiting queens rather than a conventional gay bar.

Really disappointed. Turned up for a hen do for a pre-paid bottomless brunch. Atmosphere and set up were extremely lacking. We were told the bottomless didn’t start for 45 minutes. We attempted to buy drinks at the bar and were waiting for 20 minutes with only one member of staff working. After buying two rounds so we didn’t have to queue again we were presented with the “show”. Extremely Cringe worthy. Badly lip synced. Nothing immersive about it. Bingo element was a farce. If we hadn’t pre paid we would have walked out. If you want a bottomless brunch. Go to tonight Josephine, brilliant and no comparison! Edit: Photo of us at the show. You may have been able to find our details if you had asked for them. Complaints were made on the night, perhaps you remember the group of 9 on the high table who also enquired as to why we didn’t have a table clothe and were told it was a £10 charge! Multiple times in response to us complaining, the drag we spoke to told us they were only there to “entertain”

The event was great everyone loved it, the interactive queens, lip sing battles, comedy show all into one! so many different things going on was great for everyone! Made everyone excited and on cloud nine! Never felt more confident doing a twerk off infront of people i had just met ahaha! The only thing I would say could be improved maybe was some of the food as from what I can remember a few people left their cheese boards and the scouse, menu was a bit limited but offered a variety of different items however did not seem the best quality for food if you're picky! however this may have been due to having too many drinks hahaha! Overall a great experience and place to go with family and friends! :)

We had a few small hiccups at the beginning of our arrival. But the performances were absolutely amazing, we had a lovely little time and can't wait to go back! 💗👑

We had an amazing night out starting at the Benidorm bar then onto Dysco for our friends 30th. The staff were all so welcoming and the queens absolutely made the night. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like VIPs. If you are looking for somewhere with good vibes, welcoming, inclusive night out then this is the place!

The cabaret act was amazing, the singing was outstanding and had everything we could possibly ask for and more the three Queens were absolutely fantastic . We drank danced and sang and had an absolute blast. All the acts and staff we helpful, enthusiastic, entertaining and clearly all very good at their jobs. But for me a special mention is for Izzy you absolutely made the night in my opinion. You sat talking with us for most the evening, she got to know us all and remembered names , family connections and took an interest in us all. Izzy you truly are a special , kind person , beautiful inside and out and someone who I shall always remember and I'm thankful we got to spend a very memorable night with you. There aren't enough words to say but a huge thank you to you all.
