G-A-Y Bar was one of the most recognisable venues on Old Compton Street, spread over three floors with pop videos, drinks offers, a terrace and a basement bar. For years it drew a young LGBTQ+ crowd and acted as a gateway into Soho nightlife and the wider G-A-Y club brand. The venue closed and the building has since become Coven: Headquarters, a new multi-floor queer nightlife, performance and community space. This page remains online as part of London's LGBTQ+ venue history rather than as a current place to visit. Do not use the old G-A-Y Bar hours or contact details to plan a night out.
