A place with great atmosphere and I’ve been going here many years since the Duchess took on this place. It’s friendly, fun, local and open late plus drag with attitude.too! Paul’s put a huge amount of effort in here over the years while all around we see gay venues vanishing from the scene. Love the place . .

We came here as lgbt, none locals, after attending from an event nearby. Seeing as there was potential drag and lgbt acts prime time on a Saturday we were excited to finish our night here or even to have a little dance. We were highly dissapointed. There was no drag act, the place was dead at midnight, the guiness wasn't good. For a Saturday night it was a poor showing. Which was fine but the music was so poor it just killed the vibe. The dance floor was dead, some 80s oor fillers would make every difference. Some stuff i have never even heard of or really backdated, none popular stuff. We sent the drinks back they were so bad, apparently the 'end of the barrel'.Everyone looked depressed . We had one drink and left. Really wished we had picked the other lgbt option in the area. The place needs a little love and attention.

I really like this place and am so glad it still exists as an LGBT+ establishment in SE London—it’s an important and valued part of the community. The venue itself is impressively large, offering plenty of space to enjoy, but it’s a shame that it’s not busier when I do visit. They put on some fantastic drag shows, which are always entertaining and a real highlight of the venue. The drinks are reasonably priced too, which makes it a great option for a night out without breaking the bank. One thing I’ve noticed is that there often seems to be far more staff than necessary, especially during quieter times. While it’s nice to see the team ready to serve, it does make the space feel a bit underutilized. I really wish the marketing for this place were stronger. It has so much potential to become the go-to destination for locals. Too often, people from SE London travel all the way to Central London for a night out, only to complain about the lack of options closer to home. This venue could easily fill that gap with the right promotion and visibility. It’s a gem that deserves more recognition, and I hope more people start to discover and appreciate it for what it offers!

Great little local pub, but best to arrive before 10 as to avoid the door fee. We saw Mrs Moore; it was a great show and very funny, great singer and professional.

I love this place. All the comfort of a friendly local pub, with regular fun drag acts. If that's your thing, you should definitely give this place a go.
