About Golden Lantern
Golden Lantern feels more like a well-loved local bar than a polished Bourbon Street production, and that is exactly its charm. Set on Royal Street at the edge of the French Quarter, it has decades of LGBTQ+ history and a strong connection to the story of Southern Decadence. The room is compact, the mood is easygoing and the crowd often mixes regulars with curious visitors. It is a good choice when you want conversation and New Orleans character, with drag and celebration energy appearing around special events.
