Worst Experience Ever. Do Not Recommend! I chose this hotel because it seemed like a bargain—£65 for a double room in the city center, just a 10-minute walk from the station. However, I quickly learned there is a reason it is so cheap. I failed to read the reviews thoroughly before booking, and my stay this past Friday was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. 1. Extreme Noise and Poor Insulation The hotel is located on a small floor directly above a bar in a major nightlife area of Manchester. The music blasts from 6 PM until 6 AM. The walls are paper-thin, providing zero soundproofing; I was wide awake from check-in until 7 AM because of the noise. To make matters worse, there seems to be a waste disposal site nearby. You can hear the thunderous crashing of glass bottles being dumped 6–7 times a night, along with the shouting of drunks outside. 2. Zero Staff Support and Safety Concerns Between 2 AM and 3 AM, there was loud, persistent knocking on our door. We didn't know if it was a mistake or something else, but it felt incredibly unsafe. I tried emailing the hotel and calling the two hotlines provided in the room and on the website, no one answered, and the phone numbers didn't even exist. The knocking happened every 1–2 hours. Because of the lack of security and support, we didn't sleep a wink. To this day, my email reporting the incident remains ignored. No apology, nothing. 3. The "Key Deposit" Scam? On top of the £65 room rate, I had to pay a £20 key deposit. They returned only £19 with no explanation. The keys were fine and nothing was damaged. Given the nightmare stay, stealing an extra £1 is just insulting. In short: Bad service, terrible location, and zero responsiveness. If you are looking for a place that is deafeningly noisy with no staff to help you in an emergency, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.

Great place to stay if you're in town for a night out, not so good if you hope for an early night! Rooms are small but very clean, bed is confortable, limited storage but not a problem for a couple days, and it's cheap for the centre of Manchester. Adele, who manages the hotel side, is brilliant and very helpful.

Location is amazing. Couldn’t ask for somewhere better. When you arrive it’s a bit unclear on where you go. Do you wait at the bar or is there a reception? The room itself was nice and clean. The room is basic, perfect for somewhere to lay your head for the night. Unfortunately even with the heating turned off the room was way too hot! The quilt was way too thick. Went to make a cup of tea but no white sugar in the room and no member of staff to be found looking after the room side. I didn’t want to have to go down to the bar at midnight in shorts and T-shirt on New Year’s Eve looking for sugar. Some staff were nice and chatty, whilst some were moody and uninterested. Be aware you have to pay a £20 deposit on arrival, something I wasn’t told.

I absolutely love the place. It was a clean, comfy place to sleep over. Even the music from club didn't bother me much. Beside of few things missing in room over I was amazed by the state of this hotel.
