Oakford Social Club

Slightly higher level pub food at a slightly higher level price. The food was worth it and I enjoyed the pie quite a bit! It's only a few hundred feet from the train station, in cool looking brick building. Staff was very kind and the place was clean all around. I would definitely recommend this as a good lunch spot (especially if you just hopped off the train).

This venue is opposite Readinng Train station. It is a huge venue with plenty of space. There is a performence area for live bands and music events as well as a snooker tablet. It has a fullly liecenced bar, serving alcoholic, soft drinks and juices they also serve tea and coffee as well. Oakford also have an extensive food menue. All food is cooked well and propared straight away. They have a mixture or large tables for big groups as well as smaller tables. There is also a small, but quaint outdoor area before you entre the club. I came durieg the daytime. when this venue is very quiet, however, being a "social club" i imagin it can get very busy and noisy during evening and weekends.

Lovely big pub, lots to do, football, pool and of course decent drinks. Nice place.

I've just realized I've never reviewed this place. I come here most of the times I come to town, they have great beer and a good selection of them. The vibe is always great, the staff are friendly and efficient and I've never eaten here, but the food looks incredible. I hope they keep it up, I've been coming here for 4 years and haven't had a bad experience yet.

One of my favourite go-to places whenever I come back to Reading. Really lively vibe, great outside areas for warm summer evenings, and great burgers (£10 on Wednesday evenings is an excellent deal). Highly recommended.
