Pearl Bar Houston

We are from out of state. My partner and I have not ever been to a lesbian/gay bar like this before. This place is a must see! There’s something for everyone! The nachos from the food truck is the best I’ve ever had!! Their drinks are not watered down and very inexpensive compared to what we pay Up North! I will come back to Houston just to come to this place!!!

I finally went to this bar last night and I have to give thanks to the bar back Kalli because I stumbled upon her videos about it and I finally knew something about it. I’ve always been hesitant to go because of the hatred of the lgbtq+ that is in the world that I’ve seen so for me to go somewhere I’ve never been I need to see promotions about a place. Because she’s doing exactly that I realized this place was somewhere I could feel safe to have an absolutely amazing time with my wife! The drinks were amazing, the staff was fantastic, and the music was pure perfection!!! Looking forward to the new location opening up!!

The venue is very cute and is a lot larger than the previous space and the music was great for a bit. However, they could do a better job with the restrooms and air conditioning each space there were pockets of AC but none eleswhere. I understand its pride but they should have been better prepared for the amount of attendance. There should be no reason you have to walk across the street to use the restroom. Porta pottys would have been ideal to counteract the people going to the restroom. It will be a minute before I return. I miss the old pearl already!

I went to this bar last night and had a really good time. The atmosphere is lively, the music is up-to-date, and overall it’s just a fun place to be. I especially love that it’s a lesbian bar—it’s great to have a space like this. The drinks were really good too—definitely a highlight of the night. I spent some time out on the patio, which was really nice, and got to sit, relax, and chat with friends. That part of the experience really stood out to me. My only suggestion would be to consider adding some vegan food options. I saw they had crawfish (and I’ve heard the owner even prepares it herself, which is awesome), but it would be great to have something for vegans as well. Veganism is growing, and having those options would make the space even more inclusive for people who want to enjoy good food while connecting with the community. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely come back!
