I stayed in a private room with shared facilities. The room was modern, clean, and had everything I needed. They provide earplugs, which you'll want, the proximity to the dance clubs is real! That's also what makes the location so good though. You're close to plenty of restaurants, clothing stores, and tourist attractions, all walkable. The shared facilities were spotless and smelt good and I always had a hot shower, which I really appreciated. But it's the service after my stay that I want to rave about. I left my AirPods in the bed (I'd been using them instead of the earplugs) and only realised once I'd reached my next destination. The staff found them, kept them safe, and even posted them on to me so I could get them back. Nothing was damaged or missing. I'm so grateful and genuinely amazed at how they went above and beyond to help. Thank you!

Perfect hostel setup. Has lift, extra washrooms and shower at each floor. The dorm rooms have a small pantry with cooking facility and drinking water. Unfortunately the bed I got wasn’t very clean (not fresh blanket and bedsheet) hence reduced 1 star. There’s a small pool table and great sitting area. Staff is great. Very welcoming and they treat everyone with respect. I wish I had booked this place for long instead of Safestay.

Excellent location if you want to be in the center of Glasgow. Loud music vibe though until pretty late at night. Didn’t bother me. Staff very friendly. Feels a bit more corporate than other hostels I’ve stayed at. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Could use more bathrooms but it was okay. Overall good not great, but best option I found in Glasgow

Me and my boyfriend where with our stay, first off we booked this hotel as it was advertised as a safe place for LGBT+ people, however neither me or my boyfriend felt this we where harassed when we went in to one of the shared bathrooms on a different floor to our room as one of the toilets on our floor wasn’t working, I felt very unsafe, as well as this I had to hold the door to the toilet shut as there was no working lock on the door. When we were coming back into the hotel there was a crowd of drunk people standing in the doorway which also made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. All of the showers near our room were unclean and disgusting there was mould, the floors weren’t clean neither were the mirrors on the back of the door, there were cracks in the ceiling, the shower bases where also disgusting. The room its self was nothing like the photos we saw when we booked, the room was small had no amenities like a kettle or hairdryer. There was a bottle of water there which didn’t have a lid on and looked like it had been sat there for weeks. There was gum stuck on the floor of the room there was mould on the window in the room, it was also dusty especially at the radiator. There was also a screw loose on our door handle which wasn’t great it shows the upkeep of the room isn’t really there. When we went to the one working toilet on our floor that we could get access to in the morning before we left it was absolutely disgusting rubbish everywhere and just unclean. There was also a smashed window in the stairwell which didn’t look very nice or appealing. The staff as well weren’t very attentive at all upon checking out we weren’t asked how our stay was, when we checked in all we got was handed the key and told this is your room go upstairs. When I went to reception to tell them that there wasn’t any toilet roll in the one working toilet on our floor he seemed like he didn’t care and like it was a lot of bother to show us where there wasn’t any other toilets, I am very disappointed and I definitely won’t be coming back. My experience here had a massive impact on the enjoyment of my birthday.

Overall is a good hostel. I stayed on weekdays so the hostel was very quiet, only me and another person in the room. The room, bathrooms were clean and the hostel itself has a very good look. Location is good, in the center of Glasgow. And like another review mentions, there's a club right beside the hostel, the noise is very loud and if you have sensitive sleep, I would definitely avoid this hostel. They provide lot's of earplugs to sleep, which made completely sense after the night the club had a big party (it was Wednesday night) so maybe if youre staying on a monday/tuesday it will be fine.
