About Sauna David

Sauna David in Prague is one of the city’s longest-standing gay saunas, offering a laid-back, cozy vibe. Just a short walk from the Florenc metro station in the Karlín district, this venue is all about relaxation and good company. It’s the perfect spot if you're seeking to unwind after a busy day, featuring a classic Finnish sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool to melt your stress away. Unlike some of the more party-heavy saunas, Sauna David leans toward a more intimate, homey atmosphere, making it a favorite for those who want a quieter, more personal experience. The sauna’s bar is a great place to grab a drink or a bite, with local wines, draft beers, and even oven-baked pizzas served by their friendly staff. The venue also features relaxation cabins and video rooms for a little extra fun. Entrance fees are reasonable, with discounts for younger visitors between 18 and 25. Sauna David’s convenient location and chilled-out vibe make it a must-visit spot for anyone in Prague's gay scene looking for a mix of relaxation and socializing.

The sauna is clean, modern and recently renovated, and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, it is very small and mostly attracts an older crowd. If you are interested in men 35 or younger, this place might not be for you. It has a jacuzzi, which is great, but no pool due to the limited space. The sauna and steam room are both quite small as well. There is a nice bar inside, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work for me even with the code they provided. The location is close to public transport, though it’s outside the city centre. I would recommend it mainly for people 35+ or for those specifically interested in that age group. One negative thing that applies to most saunas in Prague is that they do not accept card payments. This means you need to find an ATM that doesn’t charge a high commission. I didn’t check whether the ATM outside the sauna charges fees or not. It also closes quite early for a sauna, at 22:00, whereas many other saunas in Prague stay open until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., or even later on weekends. Overall: not bad, but not ideal for me.

Very nice sauna, clean and tidy, staff are friendly, showers are very good, steam rooms are lovely hot and steamy, the bar has pretty much everything you need including hot food. Yes it is cash only at the time of this post but I am sure it is possible to come prepared. Thank you 😊 🙏 💓

I went here for the first time on a Wednesday from 3:30–5:30 in the afternoon. Here is my assessment of the bathhouse. Pros: * Quite clean sauna. * Lube and condoms are offered, though not in the rooms; you can pick them up at the counter. * Lockers are quite spacious. * Relatively central location. * The jacuzzi is large and centrally located. * The steam room and sauna are quite nice. Cons: * Must pay in cash, though you can also pay in euros (at an unfavorable exchange rate, of course). * The entry fee does not include shoe rental. That is a separate charge. * Only one toilet. * There is hardly any cruising space. Personal experience: Being a regular user of bathhouses, I made sure to familiarize myself with the rules by reading the signs and ensuring that I followed them. I have never once had an issue with not following the rules at any bathhouse I’ve visited, including David Sauna. I can only say that I had a strange and unwelcoming experience here. As I entered, I found that no one was really my type, which is fine—it happens. I thought it might pick up later. I went to use my phone in the bar and never left the bar area except to put my phone away in the locker room. After walking past the front desk, a staff member stopped me to remind me that cellphone use is only permitted in the bar room. I was confused by this and thought there might have been a misunderstanding, so I asked whether he meant only at the bar itself or anywhere in the bar room (since there are other tables). He confirmed that phone use is permitted in the bar room. I told him that I understood and that I had not broken the rules. He had nothing further to say. After this encounter, I felt unwelcome and left shortly afterward.

I had a wonderful time here! 🏳️‍🌈 I don't understand the negative reviews. Yes, it is small compared to other European cities, but the vibe is friendly and the men were very playful but not pushy. Receptionist was very nice. I would go again

The best gay sauna in the Czech Republic - now with a huge jacuzzi! Fresh, modern, spotless, an excellent bar, and a truly professional staff. I only recommend them!
