The crowd at Slammer is as diverse as it is enthusiastic, welcoming adults of 18 years and above, including those from the bisexual, gay, and fetish communities. Whether it's dancing to the pulsating beats of EDM, techno, and top 40 hits, or finding a quiet corner for some intimate moments, this club has it all. I decided to visit Slammers Club LA, a venue that markets itself as an adult entertainment space and LGBTQ+-friendly cruising spot near downtown Los Angeles. But being nearly five miles from West Hollywood’s vibrant LGBTQ+ scene — where transportation can already be a challenge — makes it feel disconnected and overly commercial. Prices & Charges The entry price for non-members is a very steep $37, compared to $25 charged to members. The venue accepts credit or debit cards only. There’s also a mandatory $1 locker charge if you want to store your belongings for safekeeping. They also charge a $5 re-entry charge if you want to step outside the front of yhe building — even for an emergency. You must pay a fee before leaving and receive a hand stamp if you want to return to the venue. Altogether, the entry fees and additional charges make the so-called “Slammers experience” feel far more transactional than welcoming. The Venue The “industrial-warehouse” aesthetic doesn’t hold up: dirty floors, neglected bathrooms, and overall poor upkeep undercut the vibe. Staff seemed disengaged, and there wasn’t much sense of comfort or connection within the space. Atmosphere Overall, the atmosphere feels cold, clinical, and transactional — not inviting or liberating. At times, it felt more like wandering through an industrial cattle market under watchful eyes than a welcoming LGBTQ+ cruising venue. Overall You’ll likely find a more authentic community and friendlier energy at other LGBTQ+ bars and clubs just five miles away in West Hollywood.

I love this place. I discovered it during the post-COVID lockdown phase, after finding out Mid-Town Spa on Melrose and The Zone closed down. It remains one of the few spaces that truly feels safe and sexually liberating—where men who have sex with men, whether closeted, gay, bisexual, or pansexual, can simply be themselves. It’s a place to own and exercise sexual autonomy within mutual consent, without judgment. Every time I come here, I have an amazing experience. Thank you.❤️❤️❤️❤️

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Somebody had a seizure or else fainted while we were there and the staff was so slow to go check on him and help. No medical team on site that I could see for a pretty big event. Really terrible spot with rude and careless staff. On top of it all, I lost a hat when I was there. Just called them and was told they “throw everything away,” that my hat and all other left behind clothes are “trash” to them, and that there was no lost and found. Los Angeles needs a better spot, this is NOT it. Do not bother.

One of the best places I've ever been to! Much more action than Flex. Sat night was super busy and friendly. Sun night not as busy but good enough. They can close early by 30 minutes or more. The 2 darkrooms are where the action is at. Lots of stalls with plenty of room too. Even a WS room that didn't seem to be used much. There are lockers or clothes check available. The bathrooms should be cleaned more often. I look forward to coming back. There's something for everyone:)

A lot of action, even during the week. You're going to see and experience just what you think. Lots of people of all shapes and sizes. Everyone was polite and well behaved. Pleased with how clean everything was.

The club/bar is very hidden which I understand is due to being discreet. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the prices are expensive I feel it should be a bit lower especially as all I did was walk around and observe, it's not there was any activities. The bathroom was dirty. I felt like the entry fee should be no more than $10 and should just serve everyone drinks instead. The membership is definitely extortion as well. The only good thing is there was lockers for you to store your belongings in but i never needed to use them.
