About The Bridge Bar

The Bridge was a bar beneath the railway arches on Voltaire Road, close to Clapham North station. It served a strong local LGBTQ+ crowd with cocktails, wine, food and a more relaxed atmosphere than many central London gay bars. The programme included drag bingo, quizzes, karaoke and weekend DJs, while the intimate layout also made it popular for dates and small celebrations. Its position within Clapham's queer nightlife cluster made it an easy stop alongside nearby venues. The Bridge has now closed. A group of us have been coming here for many years. We tend to go in warmer months as it is great for sitting outside and enjoying the world going by. The cocktails are good, beer is lovely, but we would avoid the bottles of bubbles. Just not good quality or worth the price for them. The staff are always friendly and security are great. There are many things to keep you interested when they put on special nights like bingo. Give it a visit in summer!

Genuinely lovely staff, nice and relaxed atmosphere, nice cocktails, good prices (especially the happy hour ones), basically one of my favourite bars here. There is no shouting or pushing either. And the best it's only 5 min from home :-)
