About The Glory
The Glory ran on Kingsland Road from 2014 to 2024 and became one of East London’s most influential queer performance spaces. Founded by Jonny Woo, John Sizzle and Colin Rothbart, it paired a lively pub with experimental drag, cabaret, DJs and major talent competitions including LIPSYNC1000 and MAN UP. The Kingsland Road venue closed on 31 January 2024. Its founders opened a successor, The Divine, at 33 Stoke Newington Road, but that is a separate venue with its own listing and current programme.
