Very grateful to the kind, and hardworking team here at Polo for always looking after us and ensuring we enjoy the party in a safe environment. All of the team genuinely look out for the customers and ensure everyone has a good time, hence why we return time and time again. Disregard the negative reviews.

Just came to leave a review and wow looks like a lot of people have the same experience. My first trip to Glasgow and went to axm first which is amazing btw (to anyone reading this the door staff and promoters are super friendly) we met some amazing people soon as we got there and they said to try Polo but you’ll be lucky to get in as they don’t like letting in certain people like lone females? Puzzled but whatever we decided to pop there. Yeah they were not wrong. Soon as we approached there was no queue so I said to the bouncer do we just walk in his said no you don’t come and speak to me first I was like oh okay sorry I’m not from here so not sure how it works. This rude little horror then says tonight just isn’t your night ladies it’s not happening. We asked why and he said how much have u had to drink ? Me at 35 years old explaining what drinks I’ve had to a bouncer which was 2 shots of sourZ and vodka and juice btw. This man tried to tell me who’d only reach town 40 minutes before that I’d had too much to drink so that’s why we couldn’t come in. First of all the nights just started give me a chance to get drunk !!!!! Very strange behaviour and very very bad vibes I don’t get the lie as an excuse and he’d already said we wasn’t coming in before then saying we was too drunk. Baby I wish I was at that point !. I did not even argue it and he turned and said something to the other bouncer we just walked off and actually get drunk!!! I’m glad you can be fussy with your custom you’re obviously doing very well as a business however I think this place should just be open and honest about what kind of custom you want in there. The reviews and experience of other people do not lie so the responses management is giving on bad reviews is obviously a lie you know exactly what is happening. The night had only just started for us so it had no affect on our night however I’ve been on nights out all over and never once experienced these kind of bad vibes. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Nights out should be fun a laugh and most importantly inclusive and this place from outside the doors was just not giving this.

Went with a friend on a weekend and while it wasn't for her and we left early all staff were super kind as it was our first time in a club and I will definitely be coming back with my other friends. Unlike others who seem to have issues with getting in, the staff at the door were really understanding and it felt like a safe place for any queer of all ages to enjoy a good night out without feeling like anybody is judging. I highly recommend this place to anybody looking for a good night out lgbtq+ and super friendly :)

I’m on my vacations and wanted to know a bit of Glasgow’s LGBT scene. So yesterday I went at Delmonicas it was lovely. As Polo is nearby I decided to check it out. They didn’t allow me because I was “alone”. Such weird and excludent rules. It must be a fun place.

Used to visit polo often back in the day. I was on a night out with friends and Thomas grabbed us as we were passing by, he persuaded us to make a return and I’m glad he did! Amazing night from start to finish and all the staff were absolutely brilliant - can’t fault polo for anything. My friends and I will definitely be back soon! Best place on the gay scene.
