The West End Lounge

The bartender was really friendly and a pleasure to talk to, the drinks were excellent, and it’s a very cozy atmosphere for getting together with friends and catching up 🙈😂

I came here with two friends because I’ve always loved their espresso martinis, used to love the West End, and was excited to have a good night. I sat at the bar while my friends were seated at one of the tall tables. After getting my drink, I politely asked the bartender if I could take a chair over to join my friends, and he said no in a very rude and hostile way. A few minutes later, other guests at the bar offered me a chair, so I took it and joined my friends. Without warning, the bartender came over and aggressively pulled the chair out from under me while I was sitting on it, causing me to fall hard onto the floor. I could have seriously injured my face or hit the table. My friends witnessed everything and recorded it. I’m actually still in shock at this behavior! I have never experienced such dangerous, humiliating, and unprofessional behavior from a bartender in my life. It felt targeted and discriminated, and I genuinely felt singled out because of how I look. Instead of taking accountability, management focused on calming the situation and then blamed me for being “too aggressive” after I was the one physically put at risk. How convenient for them? So they kicked me out after physically putting me at risk. Unbelievable. Am I supposed to be calm and chill after a bartender that works there pulls my chair aggressively while im sitting at it. Could have easily broke my teeth or harmed my face. This was disturbing, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. My friend finally talked to the manager and the manager was very, very nice, but the bartender should be fired. Not only was the bartender rude to us at the bar, he was extremely rude to us by pulling a stool out from me and causing me to fall. If he had a problem with the stool we were sitting on, he should have asked the manager to talk to us , but not acted like a bully by pulling out the stool underneath new, while I was sitting on it. It is not the role of a bartender to aggressively pull a stool from underneath a customer. It is also not the role of a bartender to be cocky and rude to customers. He should have gone to the manager and ask to manager to have a diplomatic conversation with me. That would have been good customer service.

What a pleasant surprise! Very friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and great cocktails. Recommend the Anastasia Beaverhausen (vodka, basil & lemon). Such a good vibe and happy crowd. You can actually hold a conversation without yelling over the music. The owner, Chris, has done a great job with The West End Lounge. When in Wilton Manors, stop by for a drink and see for yourself.

We happened upon the West End Lounge by chance, and we’re so glad we did. From the ambiance and welcoming crowd to the attentive service and reasonable prices, everything came together for a fantastic night out. I only wish I could remember the bartender’s name, he made an exceptional Old Fashioned. We’ll definitely be back.

I will ALWAYS be request Dani for her amazing service. My first time there last weekend and I was happy to know she was also a lil newbie. Except, she made my experience memorable and my drinks were delicious. Thank you Dani!! Will be back next weekend.
